What does that funny lookin' yote have in it's mouth in the 2nd pic?

That's a white booted mountain feist objecting the use of his fetching stick to knock down persimmons

Coyotes eat watermelons in the field. They eat peaches that fall on the ground. They will probably climb a peach tree, but I don't have first hand knowledge,

I will still shoot a yote under the right circumstances, but I'm not as hard on them as I used to be. I believe, in this area anyhow, that feral cats are the major predators of small game, and yotes eat a lot of feral cats.

Around here, open season on the yotes. They devistate the deer, small game populations, as well as sometimes getting new calves. Between them and wolves, the yotes are not welcome. I don't know anyone who doesn't shoot them given the chance.
