What is up with Mel Gibson's ravings? And he doesn't look in good health

I like his movies, and think he's a great actor. What goes on in his personal life is his business. But apparantly his wife/girlfriend is intent on making it public. ($$$$$$).

Gotta agree with this. This babe has been watching the Tiger Woods saga. Plus getting advice from her boyfriend Sergay back in Russia.

Good actor . . . good man ? Don't know we'll ever know the truth of that one. But if you live long enough, most everyone gets to the place where you look back and wince at a lot of the decisions you made in life and more at some of the actions and wish you could do it over again or erase the bad parts.

Try to imagine how much worse it must be to know you had practically unlimited opportunity and potential, not to mention material wealth, than the other 99.9% of people on the planet and find yourself at a place like Mel Gibson is today.

Family relationships shattered, realizing too late what the rest of the world saw and already knew when you went stupid over a women young enough to be your daughter . . . ruining your public image and any hopes of a decent reputation to do the only thing you've ever beeen successful at . . .

Got to be a tough row to hoe. When you get down to doing serious business with the man in the mirror and find there's no one else but him to blame - got to be a lonely and sad place to be. And you can find all kinds of examples where all the money in the world did little to ease that kind of pain. And as Mel seems to be finding out, you won't find it in a bottle, either . . .

Mel's father, Hutton "Red" Gibson, was pretty much a wacko by anybody's definition, and some of his beliefs seem to have stuck with Mel. That is no excuse for his present behavior, but his current problems might have their roots in his childhood.

Mel

I always said that an actor only stands where a director tells him to, .

To be fair Barb..he did tell himself where to stand in a few movies...qutie good ones at that...and directing is an awfully hard job, doubly hard when you are starring it in it...;)

I've said things I hope never get out about various things, people, and ideas. What things? Well, thats my business. It wasn't like he was on a street corner pushing his ideals on anyone. He got set up. I still like him, and his movies. I always have. This won't change that. Anyone on this board that claims to have never said anything out of the way about another gender, race, or class of people is telling a fib in my book. Anyone not guilty cast the first stone. The one big difference is he is much higher profile, wealthier and has more to lose. He just got what I call "hooked up".

Look, the tapes I have heard were so far over the top and off the scale, I seldom have heard worse even haveing handeled druggers, drunks and visiting people in insane asylems! While I agree we all have overstepped ourselves at times, not many people have often get THAT emotionaly mad! That guy was definetly demon posessed!
That said, mel was always one of my favorite modern day actors!

I haven't actually heard all of it, but then again I less than half way pay attention to those entertainment shows too.

Those tapes may be the funniest things I have ever heard. Ol' Mel had that Russian gal around for one very specific reason.

Some of the remixes of the audio are fantastic. There's one with Mel's rant substituting Jack Nicholson's diatribe with Wendy in "The Shining" that had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.

Mel rules.

rule 1) To SOME women, the almighty dollar is a strong aphrodisiac.
rule 2) SOME men are so deluded, they think rule 1 does not pertain
to them.

So are you saying all those girls are with old Hef for his money and not his looks ?
Say it ain't so!
