What is your favorite gun for concealed carry? Why?

Charter Bull Dog 44 (44 Spl) appendix carry in an open top Uncle Mikes. Because gun is accurate, dependable, powerful, and light for what it is (21 Ozs, unloaded), and very strong/well made. I have carried it with a quick strip for a long time.

Mine has always been a snubnose.A detective special when I first got on the job and for the last 16 a part of that still on the job and now 8 years into retirement a 442.The 442 is much lighter and easier to conceal and Ive just become very comfortable with it including how it shoots and how easy it is to carry in numerous carry configurations.

2" Model 15 with Rogers/Safariland grips, bobbed hammer in a Don Hume JIT slide. Two Jet Loaders and a speed strip for extra ammo. 158gr Federal +P Nyclad.

Why? Because it is the fastest light and small accurate adequate-power revolver I have. My 325PD in an O'Rourke pancake comes close, and is lighter, but I have not shot it as much lately.

I carry every day. I don't usually unload the gun, but it does happen occasionally. I prefer not to make a habit of loading bottomfeeders in the house, although I will do it if I think there's a need. Also, I sometimes carry only one gun. That's not going to be a flat one.

Mine is a 637 or my BG.380. I hate to say it but the BG .380 is on me in my pocket more than any other gun. Its accurate and has never had a Failure. I use a desanties nemasis

I have carried a P229R in a Tucker HF2 up until about a year ago when I got my FNP40 which will also fit the HF2 nearly as well as the P229R. I also carry a P6 in a belt slide from time to time.

My 3" 65 and 442 were my carry combo of choice for a long time. These days My EDC is a Glock 19. Still a revolver guy, but this Glock just keeps growing on me.

My Sigma is my favorite gun to CC. Not too large, not too small. 16+1 rounds of 9mm. Perfect balance. I love it.

We can't CC in Canada not even leos off duty, if we could it would be a Model 60 with 125 grn JHP in a ankle holster for backup behind a Glock 17 loaded with black talons with a iswb holster.

For the sake simplicity and standardization I carry a Glock 19 off duty. (issued a gen 4 Glock 22 for duty) As much as I hate to admit it, the G19 is a superb balance of caliber, size, weight, and capacity. Big enough to shoot well, yet small enough to conceal easily. I also always carry a spare mag.

Although in work a different district, I still live in the city I work for. It's not unusual to see a muck I've dealt with when off duty, particularly if I dare go to the mall or Walmart. Because of this I do not feel comfortable carrying a mouse gun or even a j-frame as a primary. (I would not be opposed to a 3" K or L frame, especially a 686+)

I occasionally carry a model 60, model 66 or a 469 but my favorite is a Colt Lightweight Commander in 45 acp. I just like that little critter and certainly don't feel under gunned.
