What kind of Polymer does S&W use?

Does anyone know what type of polymer S&W uses when they mold the 15-22? I'm looking to add single point sling mounts into the lower just like the MOE version. The mounts I'm using thread in, but I want to add some adhesive to give it that extra strength.

From my years of working with plastics, and what I've seen others say, I'm pretty sure it's Nylon 6/6. that makes it a bit hit or miss as to what will work from an adhesive standpoint. Personally, I wouldn't bank on anything holding real well, but perhaps as a gap filler, you'll be OK.

I use a buffer tube sling mount adapter for that reason. There are some out there that receive the QD swivels you are talking about.

This way you can avoid doing any drilling into the receiver which you might some day regret doing.
