What make/model gun is your favorite?

The Colt SAA.....4 3/4 inch.

This is not the gun I would necessarily pick if in a gun battle, nor is it the firearm I would pick if I could only choose one firearm for a survival situation. This revolver, however, a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt, is the gun that has logged literally hundreds of miles with me for over three decades while I've led the pack string into wilderness areas volunteering with the Forest Service to pack supplies and equipment into their trail crews.

Even though most people would not consider it a pretty gun, I love the way it looks; I love the way it feels; and I even love the way it recoils.

While I have others that would fill the purpose just as well, whenever I go saddle up, this is the one that rides on my hip 99.9% of the time. So, I guess you could say that this is my "favorite."

My first centerfire rifle was a Remington rolling block carbine in .43 Spanish. While the .43 Spanish wouldn't be my first choice of caliber nowadays, I have always loved the RB. :)

I currently own a Number 4 in .22 Long Rifle and a second Number 4 that started life as a .32 rimfire & I'm converting it to .32 Long. I also have a .43 Spanish rifle and a Uberti in .357 Magnum.

My dream roller would be chambered in .32-20. A fellow Forum member owns one, but I haven't been able to talk him out of it! :D

OP, I don't have one "favorite" gun, I have many!

I hunt waterfowl so my rusty, trusty Remington 870 would be my pick there.

For upland birds it would be my 1100

I deer hunt, so my well traveled Winchester model 70 wins there. (thanks Jim Zumbo)

I shoot Steel Challenge so my Frankenstein 10/22 wins there.

I bullseye shoot so my Ruger Mark II and III wins there (I still don't have a S&W 41)

My favorite "evil black gun" would be my Wilson Combat in 223 Wylde.

S&W 66 no dash, 67 no dash, 629PC, nickel plated 586 no dash, 686 no dash all end in a dead heat for revolvers!

I could go on but, won't

Favorite revolver(s) are my 3" S&W Model 66s with Spegel Boot grips.
LOL; a shrunken 3 1/2" 27 in stainless.

Concealed Carry autos a 3913NL w/ flush fit 7rd mags. and standard 8+1 3913 with full hammer; both w/ Hogue checkered wood grips.

Full size autos would be a Beretta 92 Compact (15+1) and Centurion 92-G (18+1) w/ D-springs , slim g-10 grips. Wilson Combat and Mec-gar mags has breathed new life into these guns.

Rifles... CZ's FS/Mannlichers in .22lr,.22mag and .223/5.56 with small Leupold 1-4x20 scopes

Walther PPK/S

I own two of them, one is a Blued German PPK/S chambered in .22LR, the other a Stainless Steel American (Smith & Wesson) in .380 ACP.

It's just an extremely classy-looking gun that I've always been fond of ever since I used to watch James Bond movies with my Grandfather and my father, although Bond actually carried a PPK which has a shorter grip.

I'll second that! Bottom picture, 2nd gun from the bottom is just the cat's meow, so to speak!

That would be a 6.5" Non-Registered Magnum from 1940 equipped with Kearsarge stocks. Came out of Maine to me.

I really like Kearsarge stocks, maybe too much. Here's a 5" RM with a set:

Funny thing though, his boxes are maybe even more prized by me then most of my guns. The feeling that prompted this thread is absolutely something I get with this thing:

The top picture, bottom gun! That DAO 44 Russian is on the top of my Lust Index!

Ivan

That gun is so silly cool. The SWHF got me info on it which was absolutely shocking and awesome to me:

The factory did it:

I would have NEVER guessed that.
