Sooner or later, it will be mentioned, so we may as well get it out of the way right off the bat. :)
Glock 19 - any generation. The G19 fits my hand better than the G17 or G26, it aims more naturally (for me) than any other, shoots like a dream and has been flawless. The M&P Shield comes in right behind it as runner up.

If I'm wearing slacks that allow Front Pocket carry, I'm carrying the Shield, but my over-all favorite it the G19.

A really nice older Colt 70 Series 1911, Blue, with some slight, but honest wear that shows character, with a nice patina, in a well worn Belt Holster, sittiin up high and proud, hammer back, at the ready..... One that you look at and just wish it could talk, to tell you all the stories of years past. Where it's been.... what it has seen....

Jus makes me all warm inside.....

luvsmiths - kinda like this one? I have lots of Smith revolvers, but if
the SHTF I would like to have this Colt at my side with a couple of
Wilson mags loaded with Federal 230-Gr. Hydra-Shok.
The leather was a gift from my friend Red Nichols.

Interesting question and I don't think I can really answer it. There are so many favorites, but there are three that I couldn't choose between and are all my number one. But since this is the Smith & Wesson Forum, I'll set aside the Colt SAA, and M-1 Garand, and choose a 3-1/2" Model 27-2 (or older).

There are very few handguns in the world that give off more attitude than the 3-1/2" 27. You just know it's all business.

Best regards,

For me, it would be a full size 1911 in .45acp, 1st. year Kimber Custom Target, and a 4 inch model 29 or 629.

Maybe not the best all around gun choices, but when I look at the number of cartridges I reload, and the guns that always seem to be in my range bag, those two are it.

And for an honorable mention, it's the Ruger LCP. Not my most fired, most accurate, or most practical firearm, but the one that has spent the most time on my person since that model was released.

My 5906 and M67 both fit good in hand and easy to shoot. Though not as pretty the M67 to me feels better with Pachmayr Grippers.

1911 Bullseye gun built by Mike Curtis just as he left the Marine AMC and became a civilian gunsmith. Wellover 100,000 rounds and still runs like a sewing machine. It is now retired from its bullseye work and just shot for fun.
