What 357's hold 7 rounds are are either stainless or nickel? I see the 686P, the 619, and 620. Any others? A gentleman I know is selling his late father's guns and included is a smith revolver. He has no idea the model just that it's a 7 shot, .357, and stainless (although it could be nickel, I doubt the guy would know the difference) and was pretty sure it was a recent purchase. I'm headed over their later to check it out and would like to do a little research on prices.

BTW, where do I find the model number on the revolver?

Thanks in advance!

Open up the cylinder, the model no. will be right in front of the cylinder "window", just below the barrel.

Doubt there are any nickel 7 shooters. Just ask the guy, no need to guess :)
Seems like it would be an older gun, but I'm 62 and just bought a 629 PC snubbie, so maybe it's not so old

Thanks for the replies. I guess it's narrowed down to one of the 3 I initially listed if no one knows of other smith 7 shooters. I didn't get a chance to stop by there last weekend, hopefully it won't be gone by this weekend. I want a revolver!

Please check the S&W web site you will find the 686+ L Frame is a 7 shot. The 627 is an 8 shot. In it you can shoot 1 - 8 rounds.

As scott notes, the 686+ holds 7 rounds. It does NOT have to be a 686P.
