Actually I've come to the realization that this is pretty unlikely, so as a sop to be tossed at my desires, my "more realistic" intermediate goal is the very faithful recreation of a Model 16-3 that is currently in progress at my friendly gunsmith. It won't be a perfect match for my 1948 vintage K-22 and K-38, but should be fun nonetheless.
I have the k.32 masterpiece that my uncle left me. If I remember right he paid $69.00 for it at a local hardware. Its been shot very little and shoots like a short rifle.
If I had the money and could find one, I would like a Model 625 with a 6" half-lug barrel in .45 Long Colt, but since that's really not an option my choice would be a 629 with a 6" half-lug barrel.
Tied for first place is a 629 6" or 625 6" in .45 Colt
2nd place would be 69 4' companion for my 69 2.75"
3rd place K-22 6" to replace the one I so STUPIDLY traded away in the '70's!
I already have a 547 3''. That bad boy took me over 4 years to find. It was the only one I ever found for sale in my immediate area, I got lucky it was priced OK and was only about 60 miles from my house.
