What scotch for birthday?

This is my favorite but at $95. CDN for 26oz I have to be picky who I share it with. :D

Dalwhinnie distillery
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

I'm having a wee dram of Talisker Storm at this moment, the wife is having 12 yr old Glenfiddich. We had our Christmas today because it was the only time the whole family could get together. The wife also gave me a set of whisky stones and a pair of Glencairn glasses.

One of my sons gave me the Talisker. He was given a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label that he's gonna re-gift to me after he gets back home. He's a bourbon drinker and doesn't care for scotch so I scored big this Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all, be safe and be blessed

If you can get it try Bells. Wonderful blended Scotch.
Back in the day, I would pick up a bottle when I was in Canada. Not sure if it available in the US. Kind of like JWR but smoother.
Dont do the hard stuff any more. Beer and wine now.

If you live in the N E Washington area, in the small town of Snohomish, there is a Tavern that specializes in both Single Malt Scotch, maybe 50 available for tasting), and small batch brewers. Some really great beer and about every Single Malt you have ever heard of. They also serve food and have excellent reputation . It's Fred's Riverwalk. About 15-20 miles from Everett. There are also some nice Antique shops around the downtown area.

Liquor is personal taste. I have at least a half dozen Scotches in my bar (some very pricey ones too) but I personally dislike Scotch and don't
drink a drop. My drink of choice is Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select, Kentucky Bourbon (Woodford's Reserve, Blanton's, etc) and occasionally a Vodka on the rocks with a half dozen Olives or in a Bloody Mary.

Someone gave me a HUGE bottle of Chivas Regal Scotch in a swinging decanter / stand when I go married 37 years ago and it still is over half full as only guests drink it. As a contrast, a 750ml bottle of Single Barrel JD or Bourbon doesn't get old :D:cool:
