What turned out to be the worst gun you've ever owned ???

A Winchester Mod 74. It would continually jam. This was back in the days of backing up what you sold, Andy Andersons in OKC was the dealer. He let me trade it back for a Remington Model 121A and I paid either five or ten dollars difference. The Remington killed many a squirrel and rabbit and still looks almost new. Never had a problem.
About Sig Mosquito's. My late son-in-law had one that jammed a lot. He gave up on it and never messed with it. My grandson ended up with it and finally tried some high velocity ammo and it worked fine. The regular velocity stuff evidently won't fully cycle the action.

Kel Tec PF9. Worst jammomatic piece of junk I have ever owned. When it did shoot it was uncomfortable but more often than not it would jam at least one or more times per magazine. Traded it off and have not ever considered another Kel Tec since. They are cheaply produced garbage.

A very deluxe model BSA rifle in .222 Remington, bought new from JJ Galiff in 1958. Within 20 rounds of new the trigger started hanging up. Back to Galiff with it and they "fixed" it. I was 17 at the time and not much of a gunsmith. Another 20 rounds and trigger again. Short story, back and forth, back and forth, they were never able to repair it. Traded it off for a Winchester Model 70.

Had a Sauer Hawes .22 lr revolver that was neither accurate nor very functional....I got it second hand and think it had been shot alot...I have heard many people had good luck with Hawes single actions and in defense for the revolver I had, I was not into working out the troubles with mine, I think it probably needed a new hand and cylinder bolt....it was only about $20 to me so no great attachment to it....I gave it to a friend who did like it...

Ruger RSM in .416 Rigby. Would not feed. Called Ruger. Was told that since I had altered the gun, I put a new forend tip on, and shortened stock to add better recoil pad, that those modifications were causing the feeding issue. I would have to purchase new stock before they would work on it. If I sent rifle without stock, they would put new stock on and charge for it. When I refused to do that, the lady I was talking to was kind enough to suggest it might be an aftermarket magazine issue.....She was apparently unaware that the Ruger RSM is a bolt action rifle.

My first rifle was a model 74. Yes it occasionally jammed but was a tackdriver for an automatic and I killed countless squirrels and rabbits with it. It was stolen several years ago. If I ever find another one for a good price I'll buy it.

Honestly? My first model 29, a 29-3 six inch. Made in the late 80s.

I go into the LGS one day, they've got 2 model 29s in the case that appeared overnight. A 29-3 and a 29-6. I didn't know anything about the dash variations, the only thing I knew was the -3 had wood grips so I chose it. The gun looked nearly mint and I should have left it that way, if I never shot it I might never have gotten rid of it.

First thing was it shot way to the left, even with an adjustable sight revolver this drives me crazy. Second thing was the trigger kickback, the third and final straw was the cylinder counter rotated with regular 44 mag loads. Even with a new stop spring it still did it. LGS bought it back a few years later for the same price I paid

...And I thought this case-in-face only happened to me. I wouldn't mind, but these are considered to be "world-beater" guns (the 19, especially) carried by many LE agencies!

May be just me,a lot of people don't believe they are world beaters.I do have a G23 I only keep it because it's a .40..I replace the 19 with a SD9VE perfect bedside pistol had no problem with the trigger got use to it's long trigger and like the capacity and SS guts and barrel.I favor the grip angle and no shells in the face.;)
