I just realized that my new 15-22 didn't have anything in the box, but the rifle and a 10rd magazine.

I assume there should be at least a manual and warranty registration card. I was reading a lock should be included too?

What else should have been in the box? Thanks

I got a manual, lock, mag and if you have the MOE is will have the back up sights manual. Warrrenty card

I bought the MOE version....it came with manual, lock, 1-25 round mag, manual for MagPul sights, and warranty book. "That's all, folks!" ;)

Got rifle, mag, instructions and warrenty info. oh yeah, and cardboard dust in every crack and crevice. still love it tho. :-)

Did you buy your rifle new from a reputable dealer?

I got it from Jetguns.com...

Now I'm wondering if I got jacked... But the original box was taped with 2 pieces of clear 2" tape....

If you store guns in a safe and transport in a locked case, the lock is worthless. You can get the manual at the S&W site in pdf format. You can register your warranty on-line at S&W - if that rifle rifle has a problem in that process, then you ought to be concerned and call S&W. Having said all that, you should have gotten the manual/warranty book, a plastic chamber flag, the lock, a magazine, and the rifle.

Concerning warranty,my gun was bought new in box from leo in missouri but card was missing, and no purchase proof, transaction was FTF. Hope no work ever needed that i can't handle on my own.

Thanks for all the replies guys! This is one of the reasons I got this rifle - the fact that this board exists and there are so many cool people with info to share and to help one another out!

Based on the experience of some of the folks on this forum, S&W has fixed their 15-22's no questions asked, no proof of purchase. If you need your rifle repaired because something goes bad, I doubt that you will have any problem getting S&W to fix it. Just call them up, describe the problem, and they'll send you a shipping label. This assumes your wife didn't break the stock beating you over the head with the rifle because you spend more time with it than with her.

Interesting timing. I just sent an email to S&W tonight regarding my 15-22 packaging. I too did not get anything in the box (other than the rifle and mag). I got no papers or manual. Figured I'd send a note to S&W and maybe they would send the manual. I know I can always just go online but I would like to have a copy. Don't really want to print 33 pages. I bought mine from a reputable LGS and it was a sealed box. Maybe they just left out some papers in a few? The LGS has about 50 of the 15-22s floor stacked in boxes up for sale so S&W is pumping these things out. By the way- the rifle was FLAWLESS in the first trip to the range!

Everything in the box besides the gun and magazine are essentially throw away items. HOWEVER, if the gun didn't come with everything it's suppose to, including the manual and lock, I do not consider that a new-in-box gun. Not getting a manual with a new gun is bad mojo for the manufacturer, and not getting a lock with a gun may be a violation of your local/state gun laws.

the 1st rifle the store was showing me did not have sites so i had them open another box and they were there on that one along with everything else that everyone has said.
