In light of the crazy weather we’ve had, just curious what folks would pick out of their current inventory of a go to handgun if forced to evacuate. I know in some cases it’s the same as their regular EDC but not in all cases I’m guessing.
My daily is a 637-2 in a pocket holster and some speedloaders in the other pocket.
But if I had to pick a bug out it would be my Gen 3 Glock 19. It is a little beat up, has some steel night sights, several magazines and it has never jammed even on some crappy steel case stuff. I’m considering a replacement frame since the Gen 3 grip is not my favorite.
It was a toss up with my trusty 19-3 .357. Can use the same ammo as my snub and is pretty holster worn so no worries if it gets some road use but with parts availability plus ammo options the Glock 19 made more sense.
I’d still carry the snub as a back up but if I have to evacuate and get out of Dodge I’m reaching for the Glock 19.
So what would you grab handgun wise if you had to leave your home for awhile?
