What year was my 4013TSW made?

I just got a 4013TSW non-rail 2-9rd mags. Its in great shape...no box for $375 out the door. I would like to know what year it was made. Anyone know?

The serial starts with MSF7xxx

Between 1997 - 1999. Probably 98 or 99 is my guess.

What BlackTalon said. Mine is MES02XX and was a late '96 (11/12/96) production. You can contact S&W if a more precise answer is required.. That is a great price for a great condition gun!

Thanks everyone for your input. I didn't realize I got such a good deal on it until I checked gunbroker for prices. I almost didn't get it because its a 40cal. My past 40's left a bad impression on me. But I shot 5 rounds the other day just to test it and I must say...it wasn't snappy at all. I guess the metal frame makes a big difference. Gonna go to the range this week to really test it. I think I will follow advice and call Smith&Wesson just to find a definite year.

I called Smith today and they told me my gun was born in 1999
