What's for dinner?

On a cold winter night in Michigan, absolutely NOTHING beats the smells from a crockpot! Today it was ground venison soup that really hit the spot!

Ruthie and Logan are currently doing the Wal-Mart, ALDI, Meijer circuit as the stores are located near each other. I asked what was on the dinner menu for tonight and she said "you'll see".

I love surprises.

Logan offered to prepare dinner tonight. He told me and Ruthie to stay out of the kitchen as he wanted to surprise us. (the boy can cook)

Well have been forgetting to take pics. Pre-game chili with hickory smoked hot sausage and ground meat. Rustic style cornbread with molasses infused jalapeno peppers and a drizzle of Brer Rabbit and melted butter.

Last Friday night, fried rice with homemade hot Vietnamese fish sauce. Getting to be a regular friday meal

Because healthy eating occasionally intruded last week. Roasted veggies served with microwaved walmart salmon.
