Tomorrow's lunch.
That's just wrong.
Last night's dinner was creamed chipped beef on toast. Stouffers makes a good one and one box will cover three slices of bread.
I just spent from 8:30 this morning until almost 1:30 this afternoon replacing the alternator on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. Absolute pain in the butt, however the shop wanted between $600-700 to do the job. I missed lunch so I grabbed a vanilla Ensure just to get something in me. Will definitely do better for dinner tonight.

SOS should be served on a stainles steel mess hall tray. Or come out of a Mermite can.
LoL Breakfast in the Virginia Tech mess hall in 1968. Sometimes it was the best meal the cooks would make all week.

Had fresh fried walleye and cabbage noodles for dinner. I couldn't spare the time to snap a photo, but this was our catch yesterday on Lake Erie. The one on top was over 8#'s. Nothing we kept was under 16".
I did snap a photo of today's lunch. Onions with chili cheese dogs. Yellow mustard was slathered after the picture.

My grandmother made "beans & bones".
She would slow cook butter beans with pork ribs. She would add 6 medium peeled whole onions. Tasty stuff.

Salmon patties with homemade mac&cheese.
Tonight was S.O.S. for those that don't know it is a simple white sauce with salt & cracked pepper loaded with chopped dried beef... served over toast... therefore the name "stuff' on a shingle... I use a mix of butter & bacon dripping to create the white sauce.. adding flour & milk & salt & pepper.. then the chopped dried beef from a small town locker in Iowa... simply gorgeous...
Good Rye Bread....one of the things that are not available to find anywhere in our area...Love to have an east coast deli Corned Beef on Rye with cole slaw and Russian dressing...Can't find any good deli sandwiches like that
Tomorrow the local Eagles Aerie is having its monthly breakfast buffet. I plan to be there.
