What's for lunch?

Yesterday we had to go to Costco for glasses. While there we got a Rotisserie chicken. We had chicken for din din after we got home. Took all the meat offin the carcass so chicken chest sammiches with a slice of bacon lettuce and tomato w/mayo for lunch...bacon is the 1st major food group!

I've got a store that makes great green onion sausage. Lately I've been smoking it in three pound batches with pecan and then stretching it out for lunch over the week. Microwave to heat slice it lengthwise so it fits into a tortilla (I'm using Mission whole wheat low carb ones) and eat one piece with two tortillias for lunch ( I have the luxury of going home for lunch). I find that waating a high protien/fat lunch rather than a salad will keep me full and I eat a lighter dinner. It's working...slow but working. Am down 70 pounds from my highest weight. Keep it below 2000 calories and watch the refined carbs like a hawk for those sugar spikes and I feel better than I've felt in years. I'd loose faster but I refuse to give up my evening scotch out in the back yard.

Scotch is low carb.......

Stopped at a Mediterranean food truck and ordered a gyro plate and a mixed/combo plate with various meats, falafel, tzatziki sauce over rice with hummus and super thin pita bread on the side to take home. Split the combo plate for lunch, and will likely split the gyro plate for dinner.

Dee-licious!!

First time at this food truck. Absolutely terrific.

Only the best for me!

No lunch for me today. I eat a very light lunch, or sometimes skip it altogether. When I do lunch it’s a couple of small pieces of turkey or chicken breast and some carrots. Sometimes I’ll go big and have a piece of pizza, but not lately.

Half {8"} of a leftover sausage and peppers grinder from last night.
For dinner I grilled a few 1/4 lb. burgers for my wife and I and a Greek pasta salad with cherry tomatoes feta cheese, pickled red onion, black olives and Italian dressing.
