What's the oddest thing you have laying around your house..

Let's see if I did this correctly...here's my missile. I moved it out from the corner, to the left of the safe, so it could be seen a bit better. Thing weighs about 75-100 lbs, I'd guess. Yeah, it could use a paint job, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do it well enough to look authentic, and...even though I do have some brand new replacement decals, I don't have the full set of decals that are currently on the missile, so it wouldn't look the same. I'm guessing I'd have trouble trying to locate a full set of replacement decals.

I also thought of some other "odd" things I have lying around...a pitot tube from an F-106 Delta Dart, the pitot tube is the needle-looking protrusion on the nose of the aircraft. Also, a 19th century railroad station freight scale, goes up to 500 lbs.

A brick of Troy Lady Special Edition CCI Mini-Mags, .22lr. "Choot 'em!" These are almost unobtainable; I paid a premium price to get them.

Do you think these will be collectable? Just asking, I've got four boxes :)

A 1793 U.S. half dime recovered by me with a metal detector in a Confederate camp site at Gettysburg, PA. If that doesn't make it special the fact that they began to make this coin in 1794 and put 1793 on "a few of them" clicks it up a few notches!

I have a complete engine from a 2009 Suzuki GSXR. My neighbor was throwing it out because it sucked one valve for the second time. I do not own a GSXR, I will never own a GSXR, but it was one of those things that was just "too good to pitch". I look at it in the corner of the shop every once in a while, but can't bring myself to do anything with it. ......... Big Cholla

I'm also a Tim, & I congratulate you on your dedication & fortitude! Moving that monster so that we on the Forum could see a pic of it...well done sir! And your wife really doesn't mind you having that in the house? Amazing!:eek::D

*UPDATED POST*
I went back & looked at your original post. You mentioned having four motorcycles, so I think you are not married & therefore there is no wife to object to the missile in your living room!:D

1950's 'Fallout Shelter in Basement' sign (original), .50 cal WP spotting round, .75mm shell, 37mm AA shell, original GI Joe with accesories, old 'American Gothic' painting, 1950's Stroh's Beer mirror, politically incorrect items, assorted skulls, old hand carved Buddha figure and a musical instrument from a century ago called a 'Ukeline'. That is just for starters.

Send it of to "Rick's Restorations"
I'll bet he will have a blast restoring that one :D

I'll buy that missile and pay shipping if it is for sale, that is right up my alley. Do any trading on it?

A nose warmer and matching cap that my grandmother used to wear on her morning walks. I got two things from her, this and a cloth measuring tape that I used to play with as a kid. No monetary value at all, but good memories.

I was trying to creep my kids out in this picture, pretty sure it worked!

Did it for me!

My dad could probably take this one. He has a old steel diaphragm (or what ever the hell they are called) in the original box with instructions and the METAL WIRE used to put it in and take it out. Thinks its close to 100 years old, found it in the wall of a house he was helping tear apart.

And please don't say your wife :D

I think at some point in a mans life he gets where he has collected Alot of stuff. Some things cool, some not. I figure this would be a fun thread to see what else you guys got kickin around besides guns. Or maybe even a really odd gun

Here's my contribution, a 1962 Cushman Trailster. Definately not something you see everyday. The first pic is mine and the second is what it will look like after i restore it.
