What's your most accurate Revolver?

Most accurate is my Model 65-6 Ladysmith using 158gn FMJ .38 Specials. Close second is my Model 14-2 4" using same loads.

Accurate handguns

Revolvers....my model 18 and a 617......with my model 18 I shot a 50 yd steel small bore ISHMA pig turn edge wise to me....so that I had just the 3/8" thickness to shoot at.....I hit it on the snout and turned it on the stand....so that I was looking at the butt of the pig.....I looked at my shooting partner....thumb cocked the 18...my partner said " no way"...."BANG!!".....Tink....
Auto's: my model 52 and custom built Colt series 70 "bullseye "gun.....both of these guns will simply punch out the "X" ring on a 25 yd slow fire bullseye target.

My 17-no dash definitely head and shoulders above the rest. Close second is my 66-1 4 inch which was my duty gun for many years and has consumed untold amounts of ammo without missing a tick.

5 screw Combat Masterpiece. My wife thought I was a great shot until she shot it herself. Now she thinks SHE is a great shot.

1950's vintage five inch k38. Something magic about this one that just shoots little tiny groups...

My 1976 model 29 8/38" bbl. It was my IHMSA revolver. All shots touching at 25 yds.

I have a 6.5-inch 29 from that era that I would say is possibly my most accurate. I bought it used; can't even recall when or where. I too shot a few IHMSA matches with it. It is nothing to look at but if you can see well enough and you can hold and squeeze, I am sure it is as good as my best K22.

lts a 25-3 45 LC in a revolver. Regardless what ammo l shoot the bullet holes touch in the target... ln an auto it would be my Browning HiPower ''Comp''. A limited run factory target 9mm model put out in the 80s

That is a question that needs a little qualifying. Most accurate at point and shoot combat distances, or intermediate distances up to 30 yards or long distance shooting for hunting. (100yards)
Since I don't hunt much anymore.. I will go with the combat scenario.
Mine is a 4" model 64-6 in DAO. Scary accurate. My wife who loves semi autos and doesn't care for revolvers loves this one because it make her look like a pro.
For medium distances it is my model 66 shooting 125 grain 357 magnums.
If it was the long distance it would be my 29 no dash 6 1/2". (When I had good eyes) If I put a scope on it it would still be scary accurate.

C'mon, every one's got their favorite shooter. is it that model 15 with adjustable sights? or maybe a model 19 you use for single action revolver? Maybe a model 27 that just shoots double action revolver like no other. Which one hits that mark more often than not ? Or is it another model? 52?, 17? 41?

That's a huge coincidence that you specifically mentioned the M15 and M27 because those are two of the 3 revolvers I own. The third one is not an S&W but still pretty accurate. My 1970 15-3 which shoots well has a 4 inch barrel but my 2010 27-9 which has a 6 inch barrel (which I just fired for the first time today) is a bit more accurate. It also feels a bit more comfortable than my 1911.

I would have to say my 4" Model 547 9mm. I wouldn't go so far as to say it is my favorite revolver caliber, but this one is scary accurate.

I have many Smiths that shoot well. BUT, the revolver that I shoot best is a New Model Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt. It only has a 4 5/8 barrel but is very accurate with 255gr. LSWCs.
