Retirement II

I took 55 retirement as an Airline Aircraft Inspector with 33 1/2 years in 1996, then as a used aircraft dealer with my own airstrip where I still live. I bought and sold a little over 100 airplanes (mostly Beech Bonanzas) Retired from that in 2011 after getting a 'nastygram' from the FAA and sold my last two Bonanza's a little over a year ago.

Now it's pretty much as 'feralmerril' describes his retirement. Lots of reading, computering,(is that a word?) and NO TV. Haven't had TV in over a year and I Love it. (Nobody telling me who I should be mad at or how to think)

Union Carpenter for about 10 years now. Been on quite a few projects now, big and small in the Columbus area and around where I live.

IT professional, both network admin and workstation support.

After two years of unemployment, I'm in the worst job I've had in thirty years, coordinating replacement of leased computers in a large hospital organization. It's way below my level of expertise, but it's all I could find in this economy. No vacation or sick days, and random days off without pay. The project manager for my employer is blitheringly incompetent and cravenly dishonest. I don't know ANYBODY who's not looking to get out if they can.

Four years in Plant Protection/Security at The Allison Tank Plant, Div. of GM, Cleveland, OH., four years as an Air Policeman in the USAF, 25 years as a police officer for the City of Elyria, OH., and 11 years as a computer tech for the Clerk of Elyria Municipal Court. Retired on 12/31/2008.
