What's Your Occupation?

Retired, I actually forget what I did for a living.:(

I hope ladder13 doesn't(pretty good huh;))get the promotion to Moderator, if he does, what he knows about me, I am definitely gone.:(

Wouldn't the Pope(CL!)be in line for that position? I don't know,
I'm confused, would that be a step up or a step down for him?

Utility trial lawyer - almost 30 years - personal injury (both plaintiff and defense), family law, criminal defense and business litigation. I get hired more often than I should by other lawyers after they have screwed up a case and then they hire me in at the last minute to try and salvage it. It is a lot of fun to see a case for the first time on Friday and start trial on Monday.

Ruger nut, you spent 30 years working at gods chosen trade.

95% of that career was as a pipefitter. When my health started going downhill my company (22 years with them) put me in charge of the fab shop and training/teaching future pipefitters. I did that for just over 6 years until I woke up one morning and could not walk. :(

Retired from 3 decades of L.E. in 2008 (Raleigh, NC)
Now stay busy working p/t at a LGS/Range and working as a Firearms Instructor/Trainer with another small firm.
Stay a lot busier than I planned. Be careful what you wish for.

I sold Toyota parts from '83 until about a week after 911. I worked at a dealership near Crystal City and after choking on the smoke coming off the pentagon and dealing with crackheads and bureaucrats, we moved to small town West Virginia and I've been working in warehousing and manufacturing. I was a saw operator at a blind factory until I developed a degenerative motor nerve condition and got my finger caught in a spinning router bit, tearing it down to the bone.
I'm now on disability, visiting specialists and getting treatments. Right now I'm doing a little better but my condition is degenerative and incurable.

Are you currently working, going to school, retired, disabled, or other?
What was/is your occupation?
I was a pipefitter/ welder for for over 30 years before becoming disabled to a rare bone disease. I was also in the ARMY Reserve for (8) years.

Was military/recon then started making money with flying a PC-12

Right now I am a CTI student ( air traffic control ) , and I work for the customer support of Zara.com :D Yes it is a fashion brand :p Most of the time I track packages, file claims against FedEx for lost packages, process refunds etc.

I have 3 pages of guns that were lost due to FEDEX's incompetence. We need to talk! :D

Hopefully soon to be retired at the end of March after 43 years a telephone guy. Was a reserve Deputy for 7 plus years and was also in the Army Reserve. Retiring to a farm we bought, 160 acres. I may raise a few cows, chickens and pigs. I will hunt more, fish more and answer the phone less. Reload more, shoot more, possibly work part time in a gun shop to pay for the habit.

My brother retired last year. He said at first he felt guilty and if the city called him to come back he would have gone back to work. After about 3 months, he said that feeling disappeared and if the city would have called he filled their ears on why being retired is better than working for idiots. With this brotherly pep talk I have decided to not feel guilty and immediately enjoy it.
