Where are the 15-22 mags???

In the past few weeks I've gotten PMAGS, Battlemags, USGI mags .22LR by the thousands, 9mm, 5.56 & 7.62 all at relatively normal pricing, took some work but got it done...

I bought my rifle 01/09 on a lark, ordered 3 10 rounds mags from the parking lot via my iPad and since then nothing.

15-22 mags are MIA everywhere but the rip off auction sites.

Why? Not even hearing from a lot of people receiving from direct S&W orders. Major online sources not even taking backorders.

I have a theory or two but interested in what people are thinking as well... so where do you think they are?

S&w stopped producing them due to political climate.

I called S&W Monday and they said 14-16 weeks before 25 rounders will be available.

I picked up (4) 25 rounds from my local dealer on Tuesday. They are around but don't stay in stock very long.

We have a gun show this weekend. My son and I are going probably for entertainment purposes as everything will be high. I am sure the place will be packed as well. I will see if there are any mags and what they are going for. I know it is going to be an eyeopener for us, especially since I am a tightwad.

Went to my local gun show this past weekend and didn't even see one 15-22 magazine.

Last time i checked ProMag was taking back orders and people were getting them 3-4 weeks after ordering them. I ordered 3 two weeks ago. Hoping i get a shipping email in the next week or so.

I ordered 25rd magazines right before Christmas, along with a 12rd mag for my M&P22. They were showing as in stock at the time, but so far there is no sign of them. I also ordered 3 of the 32rd mags from Promag in early January. They were delivered a few days ago, so the 3-4 week wait time from them seems about right. At this point I am looking for a couple of the short 10rd mags for bench rest shooting, but have had no luck in my search.

I agree with the other poster about filling wholesale orders before customers. I think their shipping dept. is one big circus.

Midway had S&W 10 round long in stock briefly today, managed to grab two!

Traded for 6 on AR15.com over the last couple weeks. I did get a few promags and I must say
that they ran flawlessly at the range.

bought 4 of the plinker tactical mags. have had no issues but are hard to load without loading tool.

Update on the gun show. A lot of people were there. No 1522's anywhere. No mags either. Pmags going for $40 for 20 rnd, $50 for 30rnd. One box of lonely federal 525 bulk- wih no price on it. It looked like it was well traveled also. I asked the guy behind the table what the price was and he didn't know as he was watching the table for someone else. Didn't buy anything and didn't see any kind of a "deal" either.
