Where do you buy Ammo????

Call them, ask for David and tell him one of his good HP customers (Jeff) was beating the bushes to help his business. I tell everyone to buy there because I want to see him do well and continue being such a great supplier. Ask him when he'll be back in stock.

By the way, I'm just down at the other end of 66 from you. Where do you shoot?

Will do..!!! Usually shoot at Calibers off West Market or the range in Horneytown.

They repack in a plain box, that if left at your door does not scream "AMMO" at your neighbors. I live in an apartment, so that is critical to me.

I just wanted to share a little tip that might help, as I have the same concerns as you. If you get a UPS account, you can update delivery options so they'll hold it at a UPS facility for pick-up, if there's one convenient to you, instead of delivering it to your door. I do that so I don't have to worry about ammo being left on my doorstep.

While I mostly 'roll my own', two lawyers I know well and trust agree with M. Ayoob that one is foolish to EDC handloads.

My EDC is loaded with "Tim's best" avalible direct from Buffalo Bore, or Cabelas, or some LGSs. Chrony the stuff, consistant, consistant, consistant.

I have not bought ammo in over 30 years. Except for 22. Don't know why anyone would. I suppose 9mm and 223 is pretty cheap, but just about anything else is going to be half the price or less if you reload. Its the only way to if you are shooting outside of the most popular cartridges. Look up the price of 505 Gibbs ammo. Makes reloading equipment look pretty cheap.

Overall, I've found the best prices on cases at Target Sports USA. I've since joined their club which sells at cost and no shipping, ever. They do offer an over box for no charge.

I've bought from many places. When I lived close to STL I mostly used Dunno and later Cabelas.

I've found good buys at some LGS's.

When I find a good buy I will buy lots of it.

I once stopped by a hardware store to get something. It is off I 70 south of the airport.

There were lots of old deer, antelope and fish mounts on the wall. Several older generation owners were sportsmen.

I saw some gun stuff like oil and minor items. All pretty old. At the end of the Isle was a small selection of Remington ammo. There were 270, o6, 308 and 7mm08. There were 10 boxes of 7mm08, marked about 13 dollars a box. The yellow end flaps facing the sun had bleached out to a pale white. I bought all of them. The same ammo at Cabelas was about 26 dollars.

They had a bunch of 22 ammo but I did not buy any.

Within a week or so all ammo had dried up. I went back there to get the 22 lr ammo. It and all other ammo was gone.

Just checked and Freedom Munitions website has Federal HST your looking for.
$26.25 for a box of 20.

Freedom just had a massive miscue with their Black Friday sale. This is from their Facebook page. If you read the other comments, people had stuff in their cart at the sale price ready to check out, couldn't check out, and when the site came back up, the sale ammo was sold out, but you could buy the same ammo for regular price. Lots of angry people out there . . . :

"First, we'd like to apologize for those of you that stayed up extremely late with the hope of getting one of our doorbuster deals.

Our website experienced unprecedented traffic due to the Black Friday sale. However we'd like to give you guys a little clarity as to what happened last night.

We've been preparing for Black Friday/Cyber Monday for a great deal of time and worked hard to address every cause of last years issue, for this year.

Going into the sale we had done everything we thought was possible to not only make today go smoothly but come up with several amazing bundles/ deals that you all would get excited about.

The $250 bushmaster ORC rifle for example, was a limited quantity item. We've cut ammo prices across the board even when lead prices are going up. We also put together over $10k in awesome gifts. Our goal was to put together the best gun/gear giveaway on the internet right now for you all. Ultimately to get you guys the best of the best deals and potentially win a prize.

We took our website down at 11pm EST to switch on the deals, gifts, pricing, etc. At 11:30pm EST everything was functioning at 100%. When we turned the site live at 12am EST the web traffic to individual pages like the pdf catalog and the bushmaster page caused immense lag for some customers. We immediately had multiple servers fired up and our development team doing everything possible to get the site running smoothly. Unfortunately this did take a few hours to fix.

While this was all taking place we could not "kill" the deals on the website and customers were able to still place orders.

We made a post online saying we were going to restart black friday deals. This post was made too soon without fully knowing how many orders had come in during this period.

We want to be as transparent with you guys as possible.

We have completely sold out of the Bushmasters at $250/pc, they were gone in a second. We are planning several more smoking deals to help ease some frustration you may have towards us. We're extremely sorry for what happened last night and we thank you for being beyond patient with us during this crazy time."

I don't. I won't waste my money on the generic made to work with any gun store bought ammo. I prefer my cheaper more accurate and reliable home made ammo.

I used to buy my ammo from Freedom Munitions but lately their prices have gotten on the high side and the lag time between placing an order and the actual shipping date has become very long....

Right! Checked them out Black Friday, was surprised to see 38 special 158 rnfp and the like up to 0.36 per round. It was a dime cheaper! The reman price was still under .25 per round, but sold out. Good thing a buddy will reload me if I scrounge other brass for him at our outdoor range, that costs me about .15 per round.
