Missouri Bullets makes some.
Midway USA has bullets from several makers.
The Blue Press from Dillon had some bullets on closeout recently.

I get a lot of my bullets from a local guy who has a small-scale
bullet operation. Maybe you could find one of them in your area.

Leading depends a lot on how fast/hot you load your rounds.
I used to get some in my .45 ACP when making pin loads that
ran about 910 FPS. Nothing a little brass wool on a cleaning rod
couldn't scrape out, however.

Like ACP230 said...check out Midway USA. I buy all my reloading supplies there....some ammo when on sale. They have several selections and are very fast with shipping.

Also check out Montana Bullet Company. The best way to keep the lead bullets from leading your barrel is to slug your barrel and check your cylinder throats to see what diameter they are.

Laser Cast/Oregon Trail. Buy direct; shipping included in price.

If you can accomodate 200 grain RNFP cast, Dardas Cast Bullets has some for $85/m. Wideners has some JFP 240 grainers for $169/m.

I have had good luck with a couple of local cast bullet suppliers Penn Bullets https://www.pennbullets.com/, and Rogers Better Bullets Better Bullets. Both suppliers cast their bullets on the hard side, which helps reduce leading. Still another alternative, and a better choice in my opinion are the coated bullets from Bayou Bullets Bayou Bullets. The owner of Bayou Bullets is Donnie Michluk (Jerry's Brother). A lot of competitive shooters use the Bayou bullets. I have seen 2 S&W sponsored shooters, Josh Lentz and David Olhaso both using Bayou Bullets. I found them to be on a par with plated bullets when it comes to keeping the gun clean. The only problem with Bayou Bullets is the fact that once someone tries them, they find they really like them, hence Donnie's business is booming. The last I heard, his lead time is out to 10 weeks. You could place an order with Donnie, and keep using the plated bullets until your order arrives.

Take a look at Mattsbullets.com he makes some neat old style bullets and those big wadcutters made from lyman ideal molds.

Contact Jessie at Tennessee Valley Bullets, [email protected]. He is a member of this forum, NKJ nut.

BTW He and his wife are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and it was a pleasure to do business with them.

Bayou Bullets Give Donnie a call. .429" bullets are not his top sellers so he may have a couple thousand ready to ship. The last time I was at his shop, he was setting up more equipment to handle the demand better.

Plus one on this^^.

I tried several brands and settled on these, partially because Oregon Trail is relatively close to me but mostly because I like how they perform and that they don't lead much.

I shoot them out of 629s and 29s. I have very little leading and use full spectrum data, from special to full house magnums, doesn't seem to make a difference in the leading department.

I just bought 6k from them. If you buy 5k they give you a thousand free, which puts you in the $54.00 ballpark/500 for 240gr semi wadcutters.

They are also very accurate.

Here are a handful ready for testing.

Scooter-2 I just bought some plated bullets from Xtreme bullets, there in Carson city, NV. their website is X-Treme Bullets - (800) 482-2103 prices include shipping 38/357 are $40 for 500. 44 are $60 for 500. I will load some tonight and try them tomorrow, I'm pretty sure they are the same bullets I have been buying from my local reloading store, and theyve been getting $13. for 100 on the 38's. and if they are I've loaded quite a few of them and they shoot nice.

re; where to buy bullets.

thanks to all for all of the replies. i will check all of the venders listed. i am certain i will find something. i load serveral different calibers. thanks for the help. ti seems bullets are getting harder to get. when you can get them it is only in small quantities. thanks to all. scooter-2

You have gotten a lot of referrals for bullet manufacturers/vendors, but there's some things you'll need to do before you shoot lead in your gun. You need to know some of the dimensions of your gun so you can get lead bullets the proper size to eliminate leading. For a revolver; slug the cylinder throats and use bullets the same size (my Ruger's cylinder throats are .431" and I shoot bullets .431"). Most modern revolvers have barrel groove diameters a few thousandths smaller than cylinder throats (my Ruger groove diameter is .429"). Good fit is the same size as the cylinder throat (+ or - .0005") and larger than groove diameter. My Ruger (and my other .44 Magnums too) have cylinder throats .003" larger than groove diameter.
