Stuck at the Bt Collins training center for a couple of weeks. Are their any ranges close by that rent firearms reasonably. Traveled from SC and couldn't bring any with me. I need to make plans for the weekend to kill a little time.

If you want to head west 35 miles to Vacaville, the shop with indoor range is called Guns, Fishing and Other Stuff just off Interstate 80.
They sell and rent guns there.
Take the Alamo exit, head right back over the freeway. First street to your right.

84CJ,
Since your located at the old Sacramento Signal
Depot..
Cordova Shooting Center is located off of
Sunrise in Rancho Cordova(Outdoor Range).

http://www.cordovashootingcenter.com/

The GunRoom in ElkGrove (Indoor range).
Open 7 days a week 10a-10p.

http://www.thegunroom.org/

*Special note...
If you did not bring any of your own firearms,
to rent one you cannot come alone.
(Due to past suicides using rental guns).

The Gun Room is much nicer than Cordova.
Shoot me an email, and we can hook up, so you will be able to rent, or shoot something of mine. Email in profile.

I wonder how long it took them to come with that name.

If you get hungry, don't forget to try the 'Eat then move your bowels Diner' right next door.

Lotsa those places in the beautiful Central Valley, Sip.

El Toro and I had lunch in one of them places in Bakersfield while on a gun-buying trip. A few days later, 'Toro suffered an attack of appendicitis and had to have surgery.

Ah, well. It's always fun to live on the edge from time to time...

Right by the river in Old Town Sacramento. A pretty neat RR museum if you like trains.

Sorry I can't help with any range stuff I only know the SAC SO and Stockton PD ranges...and they don't rent guns. Sorry.

Back in the 70's I was seeing a young lady that went to Sacramento State University. We were walking the banks of the American River real close to the University. Walked upon a beach covered in mostly nudists University Students. Water too cold to swim even in the summer months. I bet they don't do lay around on the banks of the river nude anymore.

Hi Badge107,
That was Paradise Beach in River Park.
Nice neighborhood.
