Where were you in 1948?

Think I was just too young to look at the girl next door, thought that going to the lake was more fun, just how stupid were kids in those days?

That piece really makes you think.
My mam was 10 and pap was 13. He worked in the auto industry for 30+ years.
My husband works very hard, but his union isn't worth the dues he pays them. They have given back much of the "old heads" worked so hard to get.
Granted we live a comfortable life, he has a job and the health insurance is one of the best, but his employer pretty much owns him...nights, days, all weather and holidays.
That nine plus minutes really makes me think........I'll be exercising one of my freedoms next week!
Stepping away from the soapbox.......

I was 16 years old at that point.(Went into the Navy two years later) If you check out old copies of the American Rifleman for those years ,you will find that gun Controversy was going on at that time also,In fact,if I remember correctly, that started with "Scarface Al from Chicago" about 1929. Looks like some things never change, They just update them for us.

One thing I did notice was the flag was incorrectly placed.(about 9 seconds into the cartoon)

Liked the cartoon, I must have missed it in '48 when it first came out.

Of course, I was only a year old.
