Where were you when JFK was shot?

I was with the 465th Bomb Wing Heavy at Warner Robins, GA and we immediately went on full alert. We had 7 B-52s loaded with nuclear weapons on the alert pad and they were all manned and ready to go. It would take all 7 something like 3 minutes to be air borne. Glad when they found out that no foreign nation was involved and we came off alert and got to go home - about 8pm.

I was in Mr.Don Barber's 10th grade algebra class when the announcement that the president was dead came over the loud speaker. Pam Rose was the only one I saw crying.
f.t.

Reckon you don't remember it then Pilgrim. Oh yeh, what is tapatalk...kinda like Morse Code I'm guessing.

3rd grade. Just so happened that we were scheduled to watch an educational program on TV and had one of the very few school TV sets in our room. The teacher turned it on and within minutes the room was packed.

was in 8th grade and it was announced when we were in the cafeteria for lunch.

Mrs Rose's 3rd grade class. I don't remember many of the details, but they had a radio newscast over the loudspeaker.

I was 5 at the time. I remember my Mom making me watch the events on TV (I didn't want to as it wasn't cartoons) telling me this is History in the making and it will be talked about for a long time. Mothers are always right. ;)

I was in Freshman English class in Napa Junior College. They closed school early and told us to all go home. I woke up my father who was sleeping as he worked graveyard shift at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and we watched the television coverage. When they had the national day of mourning my father, uncle and I went Pheasant hunting.

WHEN JFK WAS SHOT

2nd grade Catholic school. the first of many in a short time it seemed. JFK, Bobby, Martin, Malcolm, Wallace, Ford attempted and then Reagan. either they are not telling us or we are long overdue. NOT that I wish it to happen, just sayin.

I was in Irving ,Texas about 10 miles from where he was shot that day roughing in the plumbing on a new house when it happened.

I was here on the rifle range at the time, Camp Pendleton, Calif. :)

Was in 3rd grade in Sister Lucretia's class. The fat lady in the office came on over the loud speaker and I remember the announcement..."attention, attention please. President Kennedy is dead. Thank you."
The main thing I remember is that the networks pre empted Saturday Cartoons. I was HOT  I also remember the horse with the boots in the stirrups. That's about it.
