Which is your FAVORITE S&W revolver?

First I'd narrow it down to my favorite caliber. Since I'm not a hunter and don't need 44 Mag it would be 44 Special. Of the 6 guns I have in 44 Special it would be the 696 no dash I got when they first came out. Surprisingly accurate, carries well in a good holster and can even serve as home defense. Oh yeah, it's a great handling L-frame.

As a late comer to 45 Colt there is always a chance I could change my mind. If I ever land a 4" 25-5 it could become "the one".

Honorable mention goes to my 3" 10-5 square butt with Tyler t-grip. A sweet shooter and also very accurate.

Bosquebass, good revision!!
I have my dad's .22 single-shot rifle that Mom gave him for the first Christmas of my life. Dad gave me his .22 when I was 16 years old. If I had to relinquish all my guns but one, it'd be Dad's .22 that would go last.

Winchester Model 67 in .22 Long Rifle.

I won't be relinquishing anything... That is a nice .22 and a nice story to go with it. Shoot it and shoot it often my friend!

My very favorite one is actually the first pistol I ever bought back in 1974, a 5" barreled nickel model 27-2 from a gun store in Natchitoches, LA when I turned 18. Me and that old gun have had some real good times together and is my sentimental favorite by far. It has made 1 trip back to S&W a few years ago to get a good tuneup, but no work done to the finish on it. It now wears a nice set of Cocobolo Culina target grips and I still bring it out and shoot it occasionally, but I am keeping it in good shape to pass down to my daughter as an heirloom.

That's some real eye candy right there....

My favorite would be my 629-1 "Special Mountain Gun" (Product code 103619). This is one of the only square butt Mountain Guns made. There were 40 made for a special order by RSR .

Image you don't own a single S&W revolver. Which would be your first S&W revolver purchase?

This changes the game..... my first buy would be that 4" 686 round butt I mentioned for the reason I mentioned....... best all around duty/utility .357 going IMO.

Followed closely and quickly by the 3" 66 for every day concealed Carry.

I seem to have an affinity for white grips...

Very nice.

My 28-2 is a 1978 model. This one has a lot of sentimental value to me.

My brother bought it new and let me take it rabbit hunting and gave it to me 4 years ago. He told me that I'm the only one who had ever shot it.

The first one pictured below... Of all the handguns I own whether semi-auto or revolver it has to be the 3" barreled Lew Horton "N" frame in .44Mag. My 3" barreled Mountain Back Packer "N" frame has to be my close second. The are the most exhilarating handguns I've ever shot/owned and they carry/conceal very well on me. My wife likes them with .44Specials is a plus as well!
