Which popular food do you dislike?

Not too much I wont eat.
I dont care much for boiled spinach.
Same for pickled beets.
I can eat both in a pinch.
I don't understand how anyone can dislike creamed corn!
Chicken livers, gizzards, lungs (lights)? fine with me especially in cornbread dressing.
Grapefruit, sweetened or not is my favorite citrus drink.
I love okra, boiled or fried. My Granny called it Okree.
Most ethnic foods have been Americanized so I like them too.
The one funny thing about okra, open a pod and shell out the seeds, chickens wont eat 'em.
They'll come running when the seeds are thrown, but walk away clucking in disappointment.

Did you ever eat "corn pie" ? How about "cucumber pie" ?

I'm not sure if they were Pennsylvania Dutch Treats or leftover delicacies from the Great Depression. Anyway my grandmother made them at least once a month and the whole family was invited to partake!
Needless to say I can't stand creamed corn and I don't like cucumbers, even in a salad!

Me? I don't eat meat. I haven't had it in.... 6 or 7 years.

I'm also not a fan of tomatoes, cucumbers, or celery. I'll eat salsa or pasta and pizza sauce, just not straight tomatoes.

I LOVE cucumbers. They make a salad smell and taste more fresh. I'm sorry you don't like either. You are missing out on some of the finer things in dining.

I grew up in the rural South and we ate just about everything. If it walks, crawls, swims, flys or grows out of the ground we eat it. Everything but a rock and we're still trying to figure out a way to boil it down and make soup with it.

Your line-up of what you ate, somehow reminds me of all the things "William Muny", (Unforgiven movie) claimed to have "killed" in the past.

Some of the "persnickety" eaters here, would have run afoul of my grandma double-quick.
I know I did plenty times, and if I got too "mouthy" about what some things on my plate looked, or smelled like, a "switching" was in order.

Obviously, "Adrian Peterson" had not yet begun to discipline his younguns,(AS NECESSARY sometimes), and even if he had he would have been applauded for putting a clamp on "that uppity child".

When I was out in Oklahoma a few years ago, two friends
took me out to eat at a well known steak house. They tried to
get me to try Rocky Mountain Oysters and Lamb Fries.
Never heard of lamb fries, but I did know what the rocky mountain oysters are.
I passed. Told them I didn't eat fried food. LOL.

A good rule to live by when dealing with terrestrial type animals, is "no pieces, parts or contents thereof, from testicles or closely related parts, shall pass my lips....." Just sayin...

Chinese "food". Gross.

Actually, anything "oriental" or whatever the politically correct term is these days. Asian? I can't keep up.

Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, all of it ..... horrible.
