Which snub?

The answer is definately to have one of each and every model and barrel length.
PROBLEM SOLVED!

The 15-2 snub is the cats ass for looks....
But since we are going K frame snubbie....
Why not upgrade to the M19 or M66 snubbie in .357?

If the K frame is the choice and .357 is too much power,
Lets go for the model 12 Airweight aluminum frame.....
It weighs less than the M60/M36.

If weight and bulk comes into play how about the M37 J frame airweight...
OMG...OMG....TOO MANY CHOICES!

If your looking for a snub your looking for something small..
That said it would be hard to beat the M60 J Frame with the 2" barrel IMO.. Nothing against the K Frame snubs but just bigger..
Also the stainless M60 will less likely rust if carried..
I'm a big J Frame fan can't help it..

Wellll it dosen't HAVE to be small..:D

Buy both. Then there will be no dilemma. That's what I'd do.

Didn't see you had went with the 15 or wouldn't have wasted my time writing this post. Still a good choice.

Thats exactly what I did. A 36-6 and a 60-10. Wrong years here but both of mine are a dream to shoot in .38 cal. The 60-10 with 158 gr. .357 Speer Gold Dots are no fun at all. I shoot .38's in both as the .357's will prematurely wear out the 60.

Back to your original Q. I would search for a 3" 60 with adjustable sights. Have my Moms old 2" 36and the difference in handling and accuracy between the 2 is amazing. A plus with the adjustable sight is you can load your choice of ammo in it and make the sight adjustments for different weight bullets. Another plus is with the extra length of the ejector rod, positive extraction of spent cases is a sure thing. Not so with a 2" barrel. I load it for SD with Speer 158 gr. .38 Special Gold Dots. I use them in all of my carry and home defense handguns.

I carry a 36-1 3" w/bobbed hammer. Surprizingly accurate and controlable with 158LSWC +P loads. Conceals very well in an El Paso #77 Tortilla holster. I also carry a 3" 60-4 as a light trail gun in the same holster. Not surprizing is that I shoot the 3" steel J-frms much better than I shoot my 442 Airweight 2". Consequently, I have a lot more confidence in the slightly heavier and longer guns.

The model 60 will carry easier, and will require less maintaince to keep it looking good, but the snubbie 15 shoots like a 4". They are both good choices.
