Six year from when I last posted in this old thread I'm still driving my favorite rig; my 2008 Toyota FJ. If and when it dies I'll look for another.

I finally found an area for the coming Tesla truck.

Will have triple fold out solar collectors when gas is gone.
Is bullet proof from 9mm.
It is so ugly it looks mean.

My van is fine...

I really like my Dodge Caravan. It holds a LOT of (even big) stuff. When a guy pulled out in front of me and helped me wreck it, I went and bought another one like it. You can configure the seats multiple ways to divide cargo and passengers. It has a good hitch and top rack to carry even more.

If the end was near, I would want a 60's CJ in decent shape. No computers, no electronics. Gas pumps will probably stop working though, making it a moot point. Maybe a horse is a better idea?
