I looked at this 17-2 last week.. I really didn't need it but I knew it would go to a good home. It's got a little bit of a turn line on the cylinder but no muzzle wear.

I'm guessing it dates to about early 1965.*** (edit... shipped November 1964).

Very nice. I would have picked it up too.

That would be a birth year and possibly a birth month gun for me. 1-1965.

Congratulations! That is a nice purchase,
with the Box, Tools, Paperwork.

That's what I look for and is important to me
when buying Guns.

Great Purchase, and enjoy shooting that fine
S&W 22lr Revolver.

One of my S&W 617's below. This goes with
my Set, S&W 629 44Mag, Classic, S&W 686
357Mag, and S&W 617 22lr, all 6"barrels.

Great pickup and pix digi-shots!
I know I can't pass up a K-22 so I now limit myself to ONLY ones that were shipped Nov. '47. If I finally find a K-22 that letters to Nov. 13, 1947... I will finally quit buying.

This last one I bought is still waiting on the letter from SWHF. C'mon "13"!

A K-22 is the only pistol that I really lust after. All shown here are beautiful.

Very nice K-22. I only have two but both are special. The oldest one was Dad's which he finally gave to me cause I kept "borrowing" it and the newer one was the new one he bought. Good ole Dad, he tricked me that Christmas, he placed his old K22 in the new box his came in...I thought I was getting the new one.

I have a K-22 6"(17-2) and a Kit-gun 4" (34-1), and a 422 4". S&W revolvers and semi-autos, I guess you could say I swing both ways. :)

Sounds like a pretty cool dad.

Almost!!

I recently passed on one but not by my choice. In the middle of negotiations another buyer sneaked in giving the seller his asking price. So if the sneaky buyer is a member here. I hope your hair turns grey, you stain your underpants and your shoelaces break!!
