but hates cutting them up?.

For now I am working in the produce department at a Fry's grocery store. Recently we started stocking a new pineapple slicer for sale. I thought, "here's another cheap plastic useless kitchen gadget." We wanted to see how/if it worked so we borrowed one off the shelf and grabbed a pineapple. It's basically a corkscrew auger. You cut the top off and just screw the thing down into the pineapple. Then you pull it out and you have a spiral cut pineapple and the core stays inside the empty hull. The handle comes off to remove the spiral. It was impressive how well it worked and it was very easy. The one we have at the store is only one size, but you can get it from amazon with 3 sizes.

I grow them in my yard and when they get ripe I cut them up and eat warm and plain. I is so sweet and juicy.

I have used the cheap $9.00 version and it works great. After the fruit is removed fill the hollow with your favorite rum/lime drink blended with ice, serve with an umbrella straw. Summer fun

I grow my own pineapple too, but this year we had two frosts and I'm 80 miles south of Orlando, couldn't believe it, so I'll have to see what kind of toll they took on them and whether they will produce this year.
