I have owned my M69 4" L Frame .44 for about 6mos now and I love Shooting it. Everytime that I take it out of the Safe, I visualize this Revolver as a 2 3/4" Snubbie. I would love to see S&W bring out a 69 Snub. It would make a fantastic Concealed carry Weapon, that could be fed Magnums, or Specials as need required.

I would definitely like it as a Snubby! A 6" would also be a cool addition as well.

I would be nice to that whole line of new K frames with 2.5" barrels (64, 66, 67, 69).

Also been hoping they would make a 45acp version as well.

Doubt either will happen.

I would but S&W seems to be so out of touch these days that they won't.

I honestly don't think it has anything to do with being in touch. Revolvers are just not their priority, they rarely introduce any new models. The demand is really just not their. Revolvers account for a very small part of the firearms market these days.

The only real priority in revolvers is their J Frame. They sell more of those than any other revolver due to its popularity as a CCW.

I don't think it would be that hard to cut one down. More difficult than a solid barrel? Yes. But, you could machine a new insert and redo the step in the shroud Might be able to cut down the original insert and fix a new shoulder piece on it. I have thought about cutting mine down, but already have 2 3" 44 specials.

I dunno. To me, the 69 is perfect as is with the 4.25" barrel. I very much enjoy shooting mine as well, but I think a snub version of it may thump a little more than I would care for.
