I'm looking for honest feedback from everyone like myself who hasn't had a problem with there 15-22. I've put 600 rounds through mine without a problem. I'm looking for others who have had this same experience WITHOUT sending theres back. Tell us why you like it. I already know why I like mine. It's been trouble free, easy on the wallet and it puts a smile on my face. Who else HASN'T had problems?

I have done nothing but enjoy mine. Every one who has shot it has been favorably impressed. I may put an optic on it at some point and maybe a better trigger, it is really just fine the way it is.

If your gonna make this post, might as well add build date or Serial #.
I haven't had any problems with mine yet, but i've only thrown about 25 rounds of CCI mini mag down her throat.

Oh, and my serial is DTM30**

Very..very..happy camper here. :D

Works flawlessly, never been sent back to S&W.

Loves CCI MINI Mag, Stinger, CCI Standard Velocity and Federal Lightning.
Doesn't like Rem. Thunder Bolt, really hates Rem. Golden Bullet.

DTH xxxx, got the rilfe Oct 09.

Mine had the simple FTE problem to begin w/ but only required a bend of the ejector. FTfeed on occasion but that's the mags. I don't really care though. It's so much fun to shoot and tinker w/. It costs almost nothing to shoot. It was a great purchase and I would love to have another one and would buy another one if I really needed it.

Mine has 1200+ Federal Bulk Pack 550's through it and it is operating near flawless. I had one fail to feed today in 150 rounds fired. This is the first fail to feed in 400-500 rounds.

Accuracy is good. I have a PA M3 red dot with a 3X magnifier that gave me a .25" 5 shot group at 50' this morning. With a new set of Magpul flip up sights I installed this week I was getting .5" 5 shot groups using only the iron sights. In both instances I was firing from a bench using a bi-pod at 50'.

I have done the 15 minute trigger job and this morning was the first firing session after it was done. It made a noticable difference in the trigger pull and control.

I'm still pleased with my investment in my 15-22.

I'm up to 600/700 rds with one FTF. Using CCI 40 gr. Still have not cleaned it, just to see how long I can go without a problem. Shoots fine a 50 yds. All the rds are in the red or in the head with iron sights. I have a red dot, but prefer the open sights. It's a lot a fun shooting this gun and cheaper than .45. Serial number is DTM03**.

i've got a DTH.

i'm up to about 1500 rounds. fired 500 this weekend with ZERO issues (slow fire and as rapid as i could pull the trigger). in my 1500 rounds i have about 8 FTFs. i think i've finally got her broken in.

installed the 3.5lb JP springs this weekend and my trigger pin walk it gone. i've got a heavier pull now and more creep than when i was using my springs with the 15 minute modified trigger job but i'm happy with it. the anti-walk pins i bought will only fit with modification as chuck s told me so i'll put them on my AR.

shoots good groups with red dot and irons.

this is by far my new favorite gun to shoot. if i could only stop buying accessories...

DTU / 600 rounds

It is running great without any malfunctions. This is one of the few rifles that I will be keeping the box for. I will be picking up the magpul moe version as well.

i got mine sept 4th, sent back to s&w on the 8th, got it back in October. Got about 800rds through it since its return, and i love this Gun!!!!! I shot mainly the 550 Federal Bulk from walmart, but also have used CCI mini mags, winchester SuperX SuperSpeedRN without issue. I even tried a mag full of Winchester Wildcats couple weeks ago, without 1 single hicup, i was like 'WOW'.

I have been quite pleased with the rifle for what I purchased it for-- making pop cans dance and having fun dressing up 4 foot of rail space. That being said... If I had purchased the rifle intending to put to use a "Match Grade Precision Barrel" I would have made a big mistake with the 15-22. The rifle looks a hell of a lot better than it shoots.

Purchased Oct 2009. DTH. 13k rounds Fed Val Pack. Zero FTE, FTF or OOB. about 1% FTL (Mag snags). Happy Camper.

And best of all... I have made some good friends here.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Was an absolute blast to shoot today except for the few brass that deflected off my range stall and landed on my head.... :D

DTU with 600 rounds through it, mostly CCI mini-mags & Federal Bulk. Absolutely trouble free so far. Unfortunately, I bought a brick of CCI stingers last weekend and now I'm addicted to shooting this gun! I've been to the range in 20 degree weather 3 times in the last week and a half & plan on going again tomorrow. I've put a bi-pod & 3-9x scope on it and couldn't be happier with it. Haven't been a lot of other shooters at the range because of the cold, but I get a lot of questions about the gun every time.:D

Got mine Oct 09 with over 7k ran through it and very few hiccups, been very pleased with it.

50 squirrels
5 rabbits
2 possums
1 coyote(25 yrd head shot) cci stinger had my .45 for BU

I have a TON of fun with mine, and everyone else who has shot it loved it too!

Bought mine in Aug 2009, s/n DSX3xxx, must have been one of the first ones out the Factory door. Have exactly 1000 rounds down range to date. Mostly Win, Fed, and CCI's. I did use the Rem GB's early on which did cause one OOB, fortunately the extractor survived it. I've had maybe a dozen FTFeed's along with a couple FTFire's (mostly with the Rem GB's) and almost all of them were within the first few hundred rounds. It has been 100% the last few times at the range. I'm really lovin' mine!!

Bought mine a couple of months ago. Only had a chance to get out once, 13 degrees, gun performed flawlessly. Only had time for 100 rounds, bulk from Walmart, both Federal & Winchester. Slow fire, rapid fire. normal, not a hiccup. I'm really pleased - it's a fun gun to shoot.

Pretty happy with the performance of mine today.

Took it out and ran 350 rounds of Golden Bullets through it today in a vain attempt to get it to fail so I could get sending it back to Smith out of the way. With the exception of the (completely expected) 1 round per magazine failure-to-fire (which is better than RGB average in both of my 10/22s) it ran like a top, including 4 magazines as fast as I could pull the trigger.

I was very pleased with my standing, unbraced iron sights accuracy at 50s yards (with RGBs no less), easily as accurate as my stock barrel 10/22.

Played around with my Eotech 512 and 3X flip magnifier, but, honestly, I really like the light weight of the 15-22 with nothing on it. (And, since it is supposed to be for my young son...lol)

Janizary,

WOW you really were tempting the fates today with the golden bombs! I am excited to hear you had no OOB's and she performed like a pro!

Maybe this is a good sign and in the future we will be able to run the RGB's :)

Mine is a DTH i picked up in January about 30 days ago and its been flawless minus operator errors. Thats about 1500 rounds threw it some were even powderless Super Colibri's which work fine as long as you tilt the gun on the ejection port and hand cycle them for extraction.
The operator issues are from me loading the mag wrong and not getting the double stack set correctly in the mag.
That happened 8 times in my first mag and one time around round 1k
I mainly shoot bulk ammo also so that says alot for the gun also.
Bulk Federal 550
Federal 500 bulk in 50 round box's
Velociraptor's
Winchester Xpert HV
Super Colibri powderless 500fps 20gr
Aguila 1750 fps hyper velocity 30gr

I wont buy Remington .22 ammo, Any ammo that the bullet flops around loose on top of the case isnt going into any gun i own.
It ate em all!
I just picked up a few packs of sub sonics for some testing also and im sure it will cycle them with no issues even at 1050 fps.

I did have to send my 15-22 back to S&W and noe that I have it back it runs like a top. I love that little gun!!!!

15-22

had mine since nov. put about 1200 rounds through it with very little problems, all rounds were feds. from wal-mart.i am very impressed with now accurate it is, makes quarter size holes all day long at 75', with a red dot sight.(ser.#dte3xxx) great gun...

I've enjoyed the rifle since purchasing it in January. I have ran ~1,000 rounds of Wally World Federal ammo through it with 11 FTL's-no complaints. Gun looks great, shoots OK, and sucks up accessory dollars like a Hoover.
