I'm curious why I am seeing so many picture on here of cheap, knock off, and counterfiet scopes on people 15/22's? Just because it's a 22 it still deserves a good scope and not some POS counterfiet air soft scope.

I haven't posted a picture of mine yet but I did top it off with a Bushnell Tropy scope. Yeah, it looks like an Acog but for what I'm going to do with it, I can assure you I will be able to do the same things that someone who spent four times what I did on the real thing. I have nothing against anyone who actually does put a real Acog, Eotech or Nightforce on theirs but for the purpose of what I'm goinog to do with my 15-22, I can't justify it. BTW, I don't consider my scope a POS. To imply that against me or anyone else for what they've purchased is just ignorant.

because i don't need 500 yard glass on a .22lr. i shoot paper and chipmunks at less than 50yds. i'll shoot some steel at 100 yards. how will a leupold, zeiss, swarovski, trijicon, etc outperform my "POS" ncstar at those distances?

x2 - plus I have a hard time putting glass that cost 2x+ the gun on a 22LR

i have a hard time putting rifles on scopes myself... most scopes that are higher name brand and higher cost arnt that much better than a simons or what ever for what 90% use them for... granted ive got a $1500 scope on my 1000 meter gun... was it needed.. no but it makes me sleep better at nights... as long as it does what the shooter wants it to do then why does it matter what it cost... its like saying u need a vette to drive back and forth to work when a nissan is closer to the truth... but if the goal is to attrack somethin else then what can i say ...." the vette gets um wet":D

I am a Leupold man . Kind of like I used to be a Pontiac man , when they had three deuces . I have found by laying low and going with your buddies to every gun show and Cabelas free snow cone day in your state , you can observe your good friend buy a double dip bullet drop compensating , range finding , parallax correcting , shoot in dark , laser sabre , latte dispensing , rechargable sat tell and scopeasaurous . You then ask him " what are you going to do with those 4X Leupolds or Redfields " . "You know how rough it has been , being me lately ." Friends don't let friends sight through Tasco . I am three for three , I did have to take a Redfield once though .

For the same reason I'm not driving a Mercedes-Benz. My Chrysler 300 suits and serves me well.

My 15-22 deserves what it gets.

What does your 15-22 deserve? Please post some pics of 100 yard groups with your 15-22 and high dollar glass. I'm sure many will be interested to see.

3 reasons:

1. The recoil from a .22 long rifle isnt going to affect a cheap scope/redot. a 7mm mag sure will

2. why put $$$$$$ worth of glass into a gun that costs $399

3. im not shooting deer at 100+ yards...my 15-22 is for cans, squirrels, a paper targets at 25-50 yards off the back deck of my house

Seems to me just another person that wants to stir up some **** then never post on his or her own thread again.

I completely agree with reelman

That is why I am going with the Swarovski Z6i 2.5-15X44, BT, BR-I Reticle Illuminated. I plan on shooting at around 25-30 yards and need something that will show the fibers in the paper besides its only $2849.00:eek:

so you're the jerk who ordered the last Z6i. now it's on backorder, thanks a lot!

I was thinking about something a bit more powerful than 15x.
