Open carry (OC) will usually result in a visit from the police even though it is legal around here, and has been for years. My daughter is a 911 operator and fields calls for this constantly. When she tells the caller it is legal they want to see a police officer anyway, who only tells them the same thing.
I don't open carry for the same reason I no longer proudly display my NRA affiliation on my vehicles...why call unnecessary attention to myself?
I have found most times in life discretion is the better part of valor.
Open carry..........sounds like brandishing to me!
I guess the moral of this story is........
Don't open carry, while half naked.......
.
Yeah......walking around shirtless with a gun on his hip! Was he stopping to flex too? Drawing attention to himself.I don't open carry except in the woods and I'm not a fan of it in town but...
REALLY??? You think it's equivalent to brandishing?
Odd that I felt uncomfortable seeing the large blades where if he were carrying a pistol I wouldn't have worried about it. Nothing bad happened, of course, and I still feel a bit silly that I reacted that way, but I can't deny it.
Waste of police time.

This is exactly why I do not open carry. That and me shirtless would scare the be-jesus out of them!!
