Winchester Comes to Save the Ammo Day (MUST SEE)

Just picked up 9k rounds of 45acp fmj, 50/bx, CCI lawmakers at an estate sale, still sealed in cases, $10 a box. 3 cas3s of Winchester 380@ 8 a box, 3.5 cases PPU 357@ 12 a box, 4 cases federal 130gr fmj 38 sp@7 a box, 1 barrel LC 5.56 m855 for 600 bucks and 11 cases federal 9mm 147gr [email protected] a box. Also picked up close to 5k rounds of various rifle ammo I don't use and already have that sold, mostly 270, 300 win mag and 338 lapua and about 1k rounds of 7mm-08. Would have loved to buy all the reloading and powder but passed as the wife has forbidden me from reloading. Also, picked up 2 coach purses, 1 MK purse, and a vintage diamond brooch for the wife. Guys, take the hint. Make a gun purchase, ALWAYS come home with something for the wife.

Sure sorry to hear of the issues. FWIW, Some Winchester ammo that has performed near flawlessly for me over the last quarter century or so is the Winchester .45 ACP ball, 38 Spcl., WWB 9mm from Walmart, and Q4318 9mm NATO ball.

I said "performed near flawlessly" because a few years ago I got a round of 9mm WWB from Wally World that was clearly defective. This was the Winchester Q4172, not the NATO 9mm. The Win. 9mm Q4318 NATO has performed flawlessly...

I had some of the same when the rush was on 10+ years back, found a couple of rounds like that in the box. I would have sent a letter but there was no lot# on the box.

Sad to report, the wife's put me on a budget for a month, even though I DID get her a few thing. I did manage to hit the range with the Tisas Fatih, put 350rds downrange. A erased 2.02" groups at 21ft with no malfunctions. My only gripe on the Fatih is you need Hulk Hogan to rack the slide.

I actually love winchester ammo. All that I feed my sd40 is white box 165gr fmj. Never had a problem with winchester ammo of any caliber.

P.s. someone made a comment about remington getting their act together. Aside from the dreaded golden bullets, remington is my preferred ammo for rifle calibers, and I also love the 158gr sjhp for 357mag. In my opinion, they have gotten their act together. At least in all of the calibers that I have used(save for .22lr).
