Worried about my cat

God bless you for taking care of her, and giving her that final greatest gift we can give to our animals - the gift of relief from their pain and suffering -which in turn also causes us such great pain and suffering. Thank you for being with her when she passed to the other side, I believe that is another beautiful thing we can do for them, to ease their transition. When you meet her again, she will be whole, and healthy and happy to see you, and there will be peace, light and love. I honestly believe that, and hope you can see that too. I wish you strength in this time of emptiness without good girl Blue at your side.

Steele sorry for your loss. I had to put down the mother of two of the cats here due to anti- freeze poisoning (someone who was using shop spilt it didn't clean it up). That is where I got the list of poisons for dogs & cats at the Vet i took her to.

this was sent to me when i had KIKi put to sleep.

FOUR FEET IN HEAVEN

Your favorite chair is vacant now
No eager purrs to greet me
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me

No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding
I've put away your bowl
And all the things you won't be needing

But I will miss you, little friend
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought to me
The comfort and the pleasure

And since God put you here to share
in earthly joy and sorrow
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In heavens bright tomorrow

Sure sorry steelslaver. :(

Last pet that I had was a small dog, he was a rescue and had lived a horrible life.

We spoiled him as much a humanly possible for lots of years.

It near killed me when he passed away. I haven't taken in another pet since.

Only those of us that have cats and/or dogs know what you are feeling . My wife buys an ornament for every pet we have lost . At Xmas time when we decorate the tree , I get to remember the good times . There are tears in my eyes writing this , not just for you and yours , but for the ones I have lost . I know you may not want to hear it , but the best thing to do is find another that needs your love .

You were always Blue's Best Friend. The last best thing we ever do to show our Best Friends how much we love them is also the hardest thing we will ever do for them.

I hope you can take some small comfort in knowing you did what was best.

This makes me very sad. Sincerest condolences on your loss.

The Vet called. She wasn't better and having trouble breathing. It was time. Sucks. Went there and she purred a few seconds when I picked her up. Held her for a long while. She was really weak and having trouble breathing. She tried to get down and cried when I wouldn'tt let her. She had to pee and didn't want to do it on me. I could have cared less. Vet came in and ended it.
Sometimes things in life suck. Have lost people, dogs, cats. Hate it.

You did the right thing for animal you loved. BTDT, hard beyond belief. You have every bit of sympathy I can offer. I wish I could do more!

Thanks again for everyone's support during this terrible event.

Every time I go into the bathroom and see the shelf that was Blue's spot, its containers of treats she would call for, it hurts. But, after talking with my wife and step girls we are going to get another cat. Won't replace Blue of course, but, life goes on and there is no reason not to share it with another cat. There is one out there that would love to have a good home.

We did have another cat for a few months when we had Blue, but the wife could not handle it bringing live mice and birds into the house and worse finding them torn to pieces on the bathroom floor. He went back to nephew who had moved again and could have a cat in new place.

I'm glad that you've decided to share your love once again with a new kitty.. Good luck... Let us know all about it. Though nobody will replace your sweet Blue, but I've found that for me, going forward with optimism is usually the best way to shift your focus a bit. Glad to know you are rescuing another cat. I was never much for cats, and from the outset of our marriage we had a terrier that wouldn't abide cats. Once he passed on, however, my wife took matters into her own hands, and came home with a couple of barn kittens who are now eight years old. Both cats helped me through my surgery recovery last winter. I slept in a spare room because pain kept me up most of the night for a few weeks. Both of our boys would curl up at my side and sleep or purr while I read or listened to music. Two other cats stayed with my wife at niht, but the boys kept me company the whole time, and still like to visit for a little cuddle with me and the wife. You might say the boys and I are bonded. I wish you many happy years with your new feline friend.

You gave blue some good years.

Everytime I lose a pet a piece of my heart goes with it. My neighbor was using a spray weed killer on our property line. It killed one of my cats. My neighbor died of bladder cancer last year. Karma.....
