I would appreciate and recommendations for a Wyoming antelope hunting guide. Thanks in advance and I hope this is the right place for this question.

You are not required to have a guide to hunt antelope in Wyoming. Have you contacted the Wyoming Game and Fish Department concerning acquisition of a license and the regulations specific to the game management area in which you intend to hunt?

That would be a good start. Once you have selected your area, and obtained the license (limited in some areas), you can then Google for guides in that location.

As a Wyoming resident, I've never used a guide and shot a couple on my own property.

Texted my blind buddy to see what guides he used(yeah his phone dictates). He hunts with volunteers, didn't know of a guide service. Must be volunteers to help the handicapped. That's his walking stick leaned on his shoulder. You may can google handicapped hunts in Wyoming and find a guide....blind man takes an antelope with a bow.... someone knows what they're doing.

When are you intending to go and to what part of the state? You’ll have to be someplace where you can buy leftover permits like maybe in the Sheridan area. Check the G&F website to see what’s available. You don’t have to have a guide, and a self guided hunt can be great fun. We’re headed out next weekend for some desert camping south of Sweetwater Station.

Well, whatever you do, if you find a briefcase full of cash, don't forget to take the transmitter out of it before you leave.

Then there would have been no movie! But it sure would have saved a passel of trouble! This reminds me of some movie fan asking John Ford—“ why didn’t the cowboys simply shoot the Indians horses when they were attacking?” He said, “because then all Westerns would be 2 minutes instead of 2 hours!”

Good luck to the OP on his hunt!

We hunted there without a guide. A friend put us in the draw and we pulled tags in a decent area near Medicine Bow. I believe there was an area called Elk Mountain nearby as well. It was a private land draw as well, so we had to put a coupon from our tag in a little box on the property. I think they had a program where private landowners could allow access and would get a portion of the license revenue if an animal was killed on their property. It was really cool. We got there 2 days before the season opened, did some scouting and I got one within the first 15 minutes of the season opening. Nothing huge but a really nice representative goat. You will have a lot of fun. The other 2 guys got their goats on days 2 and 3. It is a great hunt
