Year of a K-22

I just picked up this beauty K 2580xx. I'm having a hard time uploading pictures. I was curious what year it was produced and apprx value, no box or papers, but orginal holster from that time. Thanks Kevin

The serial number dates your gun to 1955. That would be an $800 gun around here.

Thanks for the info, my wife brought this home for me today. She picked it up.at a Estate sale, for a smokin good price! I have a Model17 from my Birth year 1975 also, that one is like brand new condition. Funny part she doesn't know much about guns, but she knows I like older SW wheel guns.

I just picked up this beauty K 2580xx

K-22 Masterpiece K258577 shipped in May 2, 1956.
Also, K-22 Masterpiece K253683 shipped in March, 1956; and K253444 K-22 Masterpiece shipped on January 10, 1956.

Good chance that yours left the factory that year also. Overall it appears to be a decent older five screw K-22.

I was going to say, if my wife saw that at an estate sale she would yawn and walk right by. She has seen too many of them. I would have pounced on it.

The old Hunter holster is a nice addition.
