“Yellowstone” TV show

Spoiler alert!! We've been watching this and some episodes are real good, others are kind of disjointed with new plot lines added without resolving or addressing current ones. And there's not really anyone to root for. They are all pretty slimy. Yet I do look forward to it. I like that the Indians aren't victims, same as in Longmire, and fight for their piece of the pie like everyone else.
A couple things. Is it just me or do you have a hard time hearing the dialogue, too? Nothing else I watch has this low voice decimal issue. And you know that new ex con cowboy they hired who plays guitar? For some reason I can't explain I think he's a plant, or spy, from one of Coster's many enemies, even though he got branded. What do you think?

While I like and look forward to new episodes, I'm thinking there's no good guys here, and TV being the PC prostitute that it is, they're going to have to give them their comeuppance. Only 2 more episodes this year, I don't see it being around another season. Although I hope it is.

I take it back, there's 2 good people, his daughter-in-law and his grandson. Her dad is OK too.

I like the Yellowstone show, but as mentioned already, it is a disjointed storyline, and lots of things don't add up. Maybe it is the style of the show, and they make it disjointed for a reason. In answer to Wyatt Burp, I also have a hard time hearing some of the voices, both men and women. They are not slurred or garbled, just not loud enough. Something is just not right with the shows sound. I hope it is on next year, fantastic scenery, and opening music. Mikey
 
Becoming all too common, muted dialogue and loud action sequence.
Rarely up at 10pm local Yellowstone is one of the few for which I use the on Demand feature.
The wife and I watch and enjoy the show for the odd moment and glimpses of life and places unfamiliar to ourselves. T. Sheridan once again tells stories of people and culture he seems to know well. There is no good guy vs. bad guy just people trying to preserve what they know or build upon what the other guy has.
Really like the scenery in the show, esp. the redhead in the water trough...
 
We use the "close caption" option because I can't hear what they are saying. It really helps me keep up without bothering my wife with questions.
I would of never guessed that Rip was that good with an iron skillet. Last night he couldn't get a break at all.
 
My wife are in the minority here. She watched about 20 minutes of the first night and shook her head and said, no more. I watched a little more and gave up. The story line is overused and too predictable, good son, bad son, enemies, money, not really money, political connections, sex, lots of sex, power, underworld, yadda yadda yadda. I don't get what entertainment value it even brings, certainly none to me.
 
I grew up on the banks of the Yellowstone. Have know lots of interesting characters that belonged in the movie, right alone with the smoking hot daughter who was crazier that a outhouse rat.

More than a little of it
t should have been on TV. They should do an episode with a rancher stealing an elephant from a circus. It was kind of interesting in real life.
 
I haven't watched it. Soon as I found out it was some sort of drama/action series instead of a documentary, I lost any interest I might have had.
 
After the 2nd or 3rd show when one of Costner's son got killed he was a super powerful guy with two sons and a daughter who looks a lot like Ivanka Trump. And he's dealing with problems concerning the"border" of his ranch...hmm.
And what about my theory that the newest ex con who helped the crazy daughter with the horse is really a spy? Haven't watched last night's yet. Maybe he just turns out to be a decent guy.
 
I've been watching and I'm beginning to wonder why? Its not a western, its a soap opera. It does have its moments and the scenery is beautiful. But almost all the main characters are scumbags. Who are you supposed to be rooting for?
I will give 'em credit for having guts. They are pushing the limits for adult situations, language and nudity on TV. But that just makes it look like a trashy show. I just don't see any real substance to it.
I guess I'll go ahead and finish out the season. But I have doubts about a season 2 happening.

Yeah, I too like the scenery in the Yellowstone country.

Montana & Wyoming has the scenery for sure.

Just got back from the Big Horns and the Wind River territories last week. ;)




The tv show jest don't do it for me, sorry.

Its already been renewed for a second season. Its the highest rated cable show other than The Walking Dead.

I really like it. The new guy is country singer Ryan Bingham, who also does some acting. He was just in the movie Hostiles. He also has an Academy Award on his shelf for a song on the soundtrack of the Jeff Bridges movie Crazy Heart.

I put up with the political intrigue for other moments - like Rip vs the Bear, young Rip putting cast iron to good use, and Jimmy getting his new hat.

I've watched all the episodes to date it's alright, but honestly if it didn't get a second season it wouldn't bother me.
 
Didn't make it through the first episode.
I have it on 'Total Recall', maybe I should try again and start with episode no. 2.

The Rip parts are the best for sure. But that accusation of throwing those people off the cliff was lame and far fetched. To get technical they'll probably find rope burns on the chick's hands. To me the boring/annoying part is "Kayce" and his family stuff. That just drags. And that guy can't leave the house to buy a loaf of bread without shooting or beating up someone, or some other tragedy. BTW, his wife's grandad played "Wind" on The High Chapparral". And I read that Costner gets 500 grand an episode. Pretty good.
