Yo - Frankengun guys. 3906 slide on 3914 TSW frame?

That combo should work out just fine, both are 3rd gens with front rails and the spacing for this combo is fine. I have a 910 slide on a 908 currently, and it is good to go as my CCO.

I would check to see that the de-cock timing is good (mine wasn't at first, so I swapped in the 910 sear release lever and problem solved).

I also check to see if the barrel fit has been affected with a .007" gauge between the barrel tab & breach face, though I don't honestly know that this is necessary. My thinking is that the alloy frame lugs may be worn to different degrees and affect the barrel lockup, but that's all conjecture on my part. :o

Ooo like a 9mm CCO:cool:
No reason I can think of why it wouldn't work

Where is it...I wanna see it;)

Cheers
Bill

EXACTLY my thought. ;)

I couldn't see any reason it wouldn't work, I think that extra half inch would make for a little nicer balance for me (I like "barrel heavy" boomsticks), and so on and so on.

But figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask before starting serious shopping for a 391X. :D

Will post pics when I get it out of the lab.

As you may remember;I put a 915 upper on a 6904 frame.......jsbethal's gun looks good...... but on a 3913........ I'd want to stay as small in all dimensions as possible. But would slap it on a 6906/04 frame in a heartbeat!!!!!

But that's just me..........................................

I think two-tone guns look terrific, even more so when the small parts contrast with the large parts.

The TSW's have squarer slide/frame rails than regular production 3rd gens, so I don't think it would work.

And you have a 3914TSW? That's a pretty rare gun, not sure I would risk altering the alloy frame lugs by swapping new uppers and firing it. This happened with my 908 frame, and I decided to just keep the 4" slide on full-time (to be safe).

In this sense, I think that steel/steel Frankengunning like a 4566 CCO is really the best way to go.

I'm probably going to agree.....

But it was a fun thought!

How about a 915 with a 3913NL upper... I call it a 915 NL SSV. Havent shot it yet but functions like it should and I intend to shoot it. Still for me the 4" barrel is hard to beat in terms of pointability and balance.
