Unless there is a pre-existing agreement that he will receive a certain percentage of your winnings, or that you will re-pay him the $50 you owe him NOTHING. In reality you will probably lose the $50 in about 5 minutes!

I would be this way also. If the $50 was given to me as a gift and not a loan I would pay back the $50. A person does not owe back on a gift simply because they get lucky. If the person loaned me the cash and the arrangement it was a loan I would give half.
