...you can't hide.Still holds true.I was unexpectedly contacted today by a guy I was in boot camp with 50 YEARS AGO! He is sending me a copy of a photo he has of the 4 of us who went to Chicago on our 12 hour pass from Great Lakes Training Center.
The guy we went with, who lived in Chicago, and showed us around died in 2006,he informed me.He's still trying to contact the fourth guy.It was an interesting conversation and he's a nice guy, retired construction pipe fitter living in Margate,Fla.,just outside of Ft.Lauderdale.
I'm just not into the past and digging up old bones, myself, but it was nice to talk to him after all these years.
With internet access,it appears you don't have to be much of a detective to find someone.
Guess I'll have to find a bigger tree to hide behind.

It's a small world and the innerweb made it a bunch smaller.

I found my buddy from basic and advanced on the web. It's real cool hear from him and his family. ( He married a girl from AIT that I would have thought "No Way"! ) We made up for a lot of lost time. :):):)

I guess there are some others I wouldn't want to here from.

Man no facebook or whatever social media there is, don't need no crazy women tracking me down, married to one !

Yep,no Facebook for me either. The wife has an account and it seems to me to be nothing but a place for gossip, trouble making, and nosing around in oher people's business.
I think my old bud found me using Peoplesmart. I looked at it last night and found another old Navy buddy from Ohio, but I won't be bothering him. I'm about the present and the future, too much water under the bridge to be going backwards.:p

During our conversation he did mention that he was originally from Springfield,Mass.I said"Oh,Smith and Wesson country." Well, that went right over his head,so I knew immediately we had nothing in common.

There was two of us from new york that served together. I got out before he did. Our ship had its own web page and for a few years we kept in touch. Then suddenly nothing. About 5 years ago i finally found him. He moved to florida and we have been in touch ever since. Frank
