I'm just starting my collection. My first is a 6591 RSR gun that I will be trading a Ruger GP100 for this weekend.

Still none back in stock and available for sale according to his website... but he did indicate that more are coming, so stay tuned in.
The market crash, together with a string of recent disappointments, has put me out of a buying mood for the time being, but I will still be going for one of these CHP guns once they are offered for sale again.
Likewise in Taxachusetts. We have our "lists" just like in CA. It raises the prices on many in-state guns and makes importing certain handguns difficult, very difficult or outright impossible. So while we try to plan, we have to be "hunters of opportunity" here too whether we consider ourselves "accumulators" or "collectors"!I'm definitely an "opportunistic accumulator!"

Condition is extremely important to me on a (primarily) investment gun and, by family agreement, any such gun bought mainly for investment must have its original factory box fully intact or I have to write a 3-page essay on why I need to buy it anyway. I may have to punt on my desire for a 3rd Gen frame decocker and broaden the search to other such models. As much as I like my Sigs, I don't think I'd ever carry or deploy a 3rd Gen frame decocker for general use, but maybe that's just because I'm unfamiliar with the breed. ........is not complete....... until you have "The Wheel" and you've memorized all the possible combinations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... but there are still many less well known 3rd Gens that I still have to look up in the Bible. Despite creeping senility, I'd say I'm still better than average 3rd Gen memorization-wise; however, the Bible and other key S&W-related books are always close at hand.

I had a NIB, unfired 4536, box accessories for awhile. I sold it when I thought I needed the money (I didn't
) The up side is I sold it to a friend who needed a carry piece for work, it's no longer unfired and I have visiting rights. MattyD380

Well, just to update... I didn't win that Recon 9. It went for $1325, I think. Not too bad.
I'd still like to get my hands on a PC 69XX, at some point.

I was recently watching an auction on a pre-rail Model 3913TSW thinking I could possibly have a shot at it. Nope! 
It went for $830-something plus shipping and transfer fees, of course.

Well I was pretty lucky, wished I hadn't sold the few , I was talked out of back in the late 90s/early 2000s, but I still have a couple left. I did buy a CHP 4006 the other day, it was sitting in a hardware store here for a good price and I liked the rail.

That is a 5906 IDPA 5", not sure how many made, well they came with a fixed sight, I changed it to a Novak competition fixed,so I could put a taller front on it to get a better sight picture .Did some horseshoeing on the sight, but didnt change the gun, because at that time NRA stock auto rules only allowed fixed sights. Only shot it once at Natls, it performed well, cleaned the course,but got beat by Xs, if I remember right. then started shooting 1911s , so retired it.
The top gun on the second row is from a run of 20 guns , 4566 PC, made in early 1998, then the CQBs came out, its a 2 tone all stainless gun, where the CQB 2 tone was alloy frame. If memory serves me, which it doesnt do very well anymore.
I lament because at the time my wife, was also shooting, and she had a set of PPC 9s 6", 5", and IDPA 4", which I sold (at her request) as she was getting into horses, and I didnt thing S/W would quit making them.
To be honest, I like shooting them better than 1911s, just as accurate, and I could clean all my wifes guns in the time it took me to clean one 1911. Bob

Kinda looks like my family picture... but being in a moonbat gun law state like TTSH is in MA, and with our restrictions in CA, unless laws get changed for the better (fat chance), I'm done unless I move.
I would like a 952-2 and a TSW of some sort, but that's not going to happen easily or at a reasonable price here in CA.

Well, I was able to pick up an 845 in excellent condition recently (in addition to a Comp 40).
Still on the lookout for a PPC 6".
Not a 3G collector, but I'd like one of the shorter 10mms.
