Every time I see Red Sparkle Ludwig's, two names come to mind:

Sandy Nelson and Don Brewer - both huge influences on my style!

Ah, "Let there be Drums" & T.N.U.C. came to my mind.

Just a quick note, Don Brewer, who everybody around here still calls, Donny,
is from the very small town I've been living in for the last 25 years.

On top of that a close friend owns a local drum shop
where "Donny" bought his 1971 Red Silk (Mach Lugs) Ludwig's.
My friend's Dad owned the shop at the time
and was so impressed with that Kit that he
ordered one for himself, which my friend still has.

Below you will see my friend's Dad, Bill Schaffer, behind his Red Silk's.

One last photo before I end this "hi-jackin'"
Here's Donny in the Jazz Masters, the nucleus of Terry Knight & The Pack,
which was the precursor, of sorts, for Grand Funk R.R.
Riviera Terrace was a happening local Flint club a little before my time,
but all of us Rocker's that came after sure heard a lot about it.
Me probably more than most because I lived behind it's old location for about 7 years (1976-83.)

Been a gun and hunting nut since I was eight or nine. Still love the Classic Smith & Wessons and Colts as well as some of the newer pistols and rifles, but have lost interest in hunting of late.

Always been a motor head to varying degrees. Both bikes and cars.
From simply enjoying them, to trying to restore two at a time. Had muscle cars as a kid and still love them. Have had seven Corvettes over the past forty years too.

Bikes have varied from Harleys to BMW's with a few Ducatis and Hondas inbetween.

Currently have Three bikes, a pair of BMW's and a lone Ducati Monster.

I guess I'd have to throw TRAVEL in as well. I enjoy seeing the US and have done a few trips over to South Africa and the UK.

To a lesser extent add cameras, good cigars and watches to the list as well.

Aside from guns, I'd say the closest "passion" (or OCD) would be guitars and keyboards. Favorite 6 string is a Dean DCR Razorback #56 of 100. Pro guitars are much like firearms in the way they hold value. Been playing live music for over 12 years now and met many, many folks with the guitar/gun combo passion. Like Uncle Ted for instance... I play guitar every day.

Love my Pentax for photography needs. Nothing wrong with Canon or Nikon - I have just had excellent results with Pentax.

Binoculars & Spotting scopes as well as rifle scopes. Leica, Swaro, Burris, Vortex. Gotta have 7x, 8x, 10x, 12x plus spotting scopes... Burris Eliminator Laser Rangefinding scope, all sorts of red dots, etc. for these old eyes.

1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 AWD AWS twin turbo for sports car needs
2010 Ford SVT Raptor 6.2L (world's greatest off-road truck)
2006 Honda Rancher ES quad - work/recreation/hunting vehicle
1998 Honda VFR800Fi Interceptor - gear driven cams, fast...
Always thought boats were too much expense
Used to have my pilot's license but flying is worse than floating/sinking

My wife thinks I have more camo gear than anyone she's ever seen. If it is made in camo, I've probably bought it. Tons of hunting gear.

Used to be a pro snowboarder so I've got 18 snowboards, tons of gear for both the wife and I, alpine skiing stuff as well.

Job has me in to whatever computers I want/need so I don't even really consider computer/electronics in the equation.

Serious coin collection
Serious stamp collection
several nice wristwatches

I'm looking for a Morgan Lafonte Pro board from the mid 90's you would not perhaps have one laying around among the dozen and an half you have on hand?

Some years ago I was told to keep my assets liquid, I have tried to follow that rule ever since....

Two extra large v-8s, burns a lot of gas and makes a lot of noise. Goes fast, love being out on the water:

That is awesome. I always try to convince my wife for our need of a Wellcraft 38 Scarab... but didn't work out so far :D

Tell me everything about your boat please and how much fun it is :D

VM, your post is quite spooky. At least three of the models in your pictures I used to own. I still have some early 1970's toys in a box in the garage.

Of course, this is waiting for me to hit the Powerball:

Wish i had back every cent spent on this car (bought it in the summer of '87). I could buy every Smith on the wish list, and all the ammo i'll ever need to enjoy them...and a new truck :D

BTW..S&Ws are the reason this car doesn't have a F2 Procharger. That would bump it to 1700HP....maybe that's a good thing..lol

My most selfish indulgence... 120 acres of pretty much timber and scattered meadow and all the toys that I've "had" to buy to manage it.

No explanation needed

Very accurate, but recoil is ridiculous:)
