Your profession and your Spouses

I have friends who are LEO's, Military, FireFighter, EMS, Civil Services, Natural Resources ( Forestry, Forest Rangers, Park Rangers, Game Wardens, Wildland Firefighters, Wildlife Management etc...)

It has occured to me that most of thier spouces or girl/boy friends are in one of the above professions or work as or are one of these: Teacher, Nurse, Dental Hygienst, Social Services, Doctor, Dentist, or stay at home parents

For instance I am a forester and my wife is a dental hygienst.

Has any body noticed any of these combinations. Or do you have any I have failed to think of.

I know this is not true in all cases but a good many are. I wonder why this is, does it have something to do with like minded people being attracted to one another? Your thoughts felllow forum members.

Both retired Big City coppers....Married 34 years last Sunday.
She is a strong Christian woman.
I still need a little work.
Clearly a case of opposites attract ....she was a secretary with a badge.
I was not a street cop.
Dark side/ Light side of po-po work.
It worked somehow.

Well, I'm a Private Investigator, Security Contractor and Armed Bodyguard. Self employed almost 28 years. The Lovely Missus P&R Fan sells Women's clothes on Ebay.

Gotta be a connection there somehow.

At our place, it's engineer and librarian. No, contrary to what you might think, our house is not super well-organized. I describe it as 'comfortable'.

A Corrections Officer on light duty following an injury that will keep me there until I retire. My wife quit her job as a nurses aide before my son was born, she was going to go back to work in January of 2011 and I would watch my son on my days off. I gut hurt two days before January of 2011 started and from then on she has been a stay at home mom while I struggle on a fixed income. I just sold another rifle today to help pay bills. That makes gun number 19 since I got hurt.

I practiced law for over 30 years. My wife was a massage therapist. Now we are bus drivers, erm, "transit operators". It is about as much fun as I have had in any job. It doesn't pay like the law, but I sleep better.

Never had a wife bring in a pay check. I remarried after retirement and theresa`s job is takeing care of me. I was a night watchman for 35 years but practicaly lived at work about 65 hours a week.

Well, let's see: I married a teacher, then a nurse, then a dental hygienist. Finally got it right that third time.

I was always some kind of counselor--but never, as you can imagine, a marriage counselor.
