I have a couple of Ruger single actions in .22LR and a Hamilton Model 27 .22 cal. that I would like to have values for. Not interested in selling, just putting together a list with values to aid my heirs after I am gone.

The Hamilton 27 was built from 1907 to 1930 with about half a million produced. No serial number. Mine belonged to my grandfather who was born in 1900. A "boy's rifle" so I am guessing maybe around 1910. Most of them I have seen were pretty rough. Think this one is fairly nice.

Ruger Lightweight Single-Six (Tri-Color) number 201101 shipped to Berns Wholesale Sporting Goods in Denver, Colorado in May 1956. Belonged to my father. Do not know if he bought it new. His notes say wood Ruger grips were factory accessory. Letter does not say what grips it shipped with. Estimate 90% condition.

Ruger Bearcat number H293. Shipped March 1959 to Continental Arms in New York City. Got it new on my ninth birthday in 1959. Estimate 90% condition.

Thanks for any help.

That's a VERY nice looking Hamilton. I have a couple buried away as future projects, but I restored a nice one for my dad. He's into early Daisy BB guns, and the early Hamiltons were built in Plymouth, MI in the Daisy plant near where he lived and worked for a while. The very early ones (like his) would be considered a Short Barrel Rifle by today's ATF rules, being less than 16" long, would require a class 3 transfer, but they were all grandfathered in (thankfully) as basic rifles.

Chris, thanks for your reply. Clarence Hamilton was the inventor of the Hamilton rifle and the Daisy BB gun. He also built windmills. His first company was The Plymouth Iron Windmill Co. In 1895 the BB guns were doing pretty well and the name was changed to Daisy Manufacturing. The rifles were manufactured by C. J. Hamilton & Son. Here is a link to a good article on the Model 27.

No one ventured an opinion on the Ruger values.

My 2021 Blue Book says $1000 for the lightweight single-six in 95% condition and $525 for an old model bearcat in 95% condition.
Have the prices gone up since then?
Appreciate any help.
