My 52-2 isn't as pretty as your 52-1, and a previous owner mangled the front sight installing some colored insert, but I still feel lucky to have found it here in California:

I have a 52-2 I use for center fire portion a 3 gun shoot in Bullseye. I think this it the sweetest factory competition gun I have ever shot. I have never have any work done to it, I began shooting it right out of the box.

Thanks Pop

I have 2 model 52-1's and love them I used them in bullseye centerfire matches.

Here's mine. I actually use it. Bo-Mars and a superb roll-off trigger job by the late Don Nygord. The best of S&W workmanship.

Model 52

A model 52 no dash that I had for number of years. It shot beautifully and felt great in my hand. I just wish that the magazines would hold a round or 2 more. The jframe limit seemed a bit silly for a gun this big.

What could be better than a S&W semi-auto that fires the same target load as most of my revolvers? Best of both worlds.

The magazines can be modified to hold more than 5 rounds. However the standard bullseye shooter only fires 5 rounds per string so the 5 round magazines were fine for the shooters the pistols were designed for.
