I have been useing my lee 1000 for a year and the only thing that annoys me is the stupid disc set up, is there any way you can fit a more accurate powder thrower to this press.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could try the Lee adjustable charge Bar

Turn the knob to dial in the volume of powder you want. Note, if you want less than 0.5cc then this thing isn't all that consistent. If doing larger loads then it should be okay. I got one but haven't really used it yet.

I use this adjustable charge bar instead of the disc system. It works very well for all hangun calibers that I load, except for .380. As mentioned, it is not consistant in the smaller amounts. For .38 spe, .357 magnum, 9mm, and .45 ACP it works very well. I have been using it for about a year.

I'm considering one of these. Which powders are you using with it?

Curious

I am curious too as I want to start reloading 9mm and I have this adjustable charge bar. Have not used it yet however. I have not bought any powder yet buy was wondering which powder works best with the Lee equipment as I understand powders have different physical make ups ie ball, flake etc. Thanks in advance!
